AI usually creates entirely new characters so it's unlikely the characters would be generated twice the same way. And Amazon only introduced an option to declare whether your book is AI generated for research purposes. However, rules keep changing and it's best to not completely rely on just AI and definitely alter/edit as much as you can using softwares like Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
I was reading about how Etsy works and i just got scare and there is something I will not willing to deal with which is....Why someone else has to hold the earnings of my work??. I was thinking on the possibility of sell throw them. I definitely discard that idea.
Etsy definitely has stringent policies. Best is to get a Shopify membership and sell your digital products on your own shopify store. It takes a bit of investment but has much more control over your earnings and product listings.
So everything is from AI? Absolutely discouraging.... Good for you if you make money with this kind of thing but it's not a cook book, just a chat gtp compilation.
Hey, sorry but i think this video is not targeted towards you. There may be plenty other videos out there for your particular preference. Best of luck! :)
@@sarascanvastudio Hello Sara. Sure, it's definitely not my vision of what is a good cookbook. Still, thank you for taking the time to reply. Have a lovely day.
To answer your question, it's not illegal. Currently there are no policies outlining the legality of AI generated art. You're free to not use AI if that is your preference but you can't stop other people from using it if that's what they want to do.
@@sarascanvastudio I watched one about making a recipe book ... I made a vegan recipe book last night and it went live today :) I just followed your step by step but used Claude3 and Ideogram

Wow so you did nothing, cheating people out of money and lying to Amazon. You are why people now have to jump through hoops to publish anything. Do some actual work
How about you direct your insecurities and anger towards those who made these AI tools? :) If you’re doing great work, you don’t need to be intimidated by people like me. So why don’t you do the “actual” work you’re preaching.
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I attempted to upload my book, but it appears that some of my pages are not present in the previewer on Amazon KDP. Suggestions?
I got all the way to downloading the images to compile everything into canva as the actual book and it told me that it couldn't because canva only accepts PNG, JPG, etc. But i did what you said to do. IS there a way to get around that?
I did it from canva. I followed EVERYTHING you did when you were going through the children’s book about environmental awareness. I did the format you did. I went from Leonardo AI and saved those images as you did. Uploaded them to canva. Got to the point where I was going to actually put them in the book. “Downloaded” everything and when it came time to upload them back to canva all compiled, canva told me that the zip file wasn’t the right format. But I did the same one you did. I’m just confused. That would be my first children’s book.
You need to upload them one by one. Can’t upload a zip folder.. extract the images from the zip folder and then upload them one by one to canva that should do it
Hey. Thanks so much for the fast replies. I truly appreciate this because I want this to work and have a bunch of ideas for books to help kids. I’m just not someone who’s ever done this. I did that first. I uploaded each image that I’d saved one one to canva. And then when I downloaded them to put together either the cover, that’s where the trouble began.
@sarascanvastudio I think you have some good tips but having every step of the process generated by a computer sort of takes the heart out of creating art. I did appreciate your tip that FlossCross gives you all of the rights to your pattern - I wouldn't have considered that other software may not allow that. Do you know if Canva elements are copyrighted? I'd be nervous to use all Canva elements to create a pattern to sell.
You didn't shoved in what formats you uploaded manuscript of a book. You saved book in pdf print in canva? Amazon kindle is not friendly with pdf, it wants to format in epub or mobi. How you did it?
Great tutorial! Simple and straightforward. This is such a big help!!! I would like to ask, do you use premium Canva to get this good pictures? And also is it legal to sell pics from canva and use it to make worksheet?
Great tutorial! I loved the illustrations. I’ve not used that program before and I look forward to trying it out soon. I’d also love to know how you promote your books on kdp and even how many you’ve sold or how successful you’ve been using it. Thank you for sharing the process you use to create books. 💕
Thank you so much! Currently I haven’t used any marketing tools, I just share with friends and family and ask them to share further. It has worked fairly nicely :)
Hi Sarah, Im a New supscriber, Thank you so much for, the way you explain your video’s. You speak calm clear and You are not in a rush to explain things + you Are not hiding nothing. Can you upload a video how to upload affirmation cards (carton) with deck, on Amazon. Thank you again.
There are some illustrations in canva in different poses as well. You can also use midjourney to create consistent characters and then generate backgrounds separately as well. You can also download free character packs from freepik.com If nothing works then you can also hire a graphic designer from upwork or fiverr to design a character for you!
I recieved an email from KDP : Hi! We checked your files and found issues you need to fix before your book can be published on KDP: Cover • Resize the background or image on your front cover so that it extends 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. All covers must be sized for bleed, which means you need to add an extra 0.125" (3.2 mm) along the top, bottom, and sides of your cover file. Once you have increased the size of your cover, extend any images or backgrounds that you want to reach all the way to the edge of the page 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. This prevents manufacturing issues when the cover is trimmed to size. Watch our video, which explains trim size, margins, and bleed Learn more about bleed • Resize the background or image on your back cover so that it extends 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. Hey, you just need to fix your book cover dimensions. Calculate your book cover size accurately using Amazon KdP book calculator and then use the full cover dimensions generated by it to make the cover on canva.
Hi Sara inspired by you i published my first book ...coloring book... its on the 72hrs stage ,i noticed that in the authors name i used my pen name but both names i.e the pen name n my account name is showing? Any idea how i can remove one . Hope to hear from you. TIA
Is your authors name visible on the book? I think Amazon only shows the name that you put on authors name.. it doesn’t show your account name to the buyer
▼ Hey Sara! ▼ Just wondering if you fixed the NUMBER 10 page? ▼ At 13:08 for "10", there are only 9 children visible :-( Luckily you can edit the book and re-upload it to KDP.
