My name is Yvonne, I am a potter from Vancouver BC. To me, pottery is my meditation, my getaway from stress and life. This channel is my Vlog of my pottery journey to show others the beauty of pottery, how relaxing it is, and how you can do it too!
As I mold clay, a feeling of calming and relaxation flows through me. It is a meditative process, which is why I stay silent as I work.
great video. do you get all your designs from Cricut workspace? I have a brother scanNcut and they do not have a large selection of designs. I loved the ones you used of the succulents but I haven't been able to find similar ones.
I am happy with the air compressor. It’s the Ryobi cordless air compressor from Home Depot. However, I don’t use the airbrush that often because I found it troublesome to setup and clean. I would only use it if I have a few mugs I need to paint at the same time or else it’s not worth my time to setup.
I 3D printed some of them. If you have a 3D printer at home, you can find many digital files to download and print. If not, you can carve your own stamps with clay.
Hi, I have seen a similar bead rack in a chinese website, and would like to know at which temperature do you fired your spoon? Does this rack work at 1280°C? Thank for your help!
I fired it at cone 6 and it was fine for the first two firing but one of the rods broke afterwards. I think it could be that the spoons were too heavy. I think it was meant for firing small beads
This is tooo much work. Just take your reclaimed clay when mixed and still wet, mix mason stain into it, dry on a plaster slab until wedgeable , then wedge…..
I LOVE it! What color are you going to paint it? Are they for sale?? Inquiring minds want to know!! I want to use it for my business card holder... I want it in that same Patina Green that the REAL pulp berry come in! It will just POP my Farmers' Market in August!
I thickened the slip I used for slip casting because they're the same clay body. The slip has already been flocculanted when I first mixed up the slip casting batch. In order to thicken it, it left a small amount of slip out to dry so it's thick enough to pipe. You can use the same method to thicken your slip if it's too watery. Hope that helps!
You are the most wonderful and attractive person I have come across. You are truly wonderful. You are humble and answer all questions ♡.. I want to buy one gram of this color, where can I get it?❤
Thank you for your kind words 🫶🏻 This is made by an American ceramic company called Mayco. If you’re in the US or Canada, you can get it at most ceramic stores. Some bigger online ceramic stores should also carry them but it will be very expensive.
I got mine from Rona. You should be able to get them at Home Depot or any hardware stores. I got mine 2 years ago so the prices probably has gone up now.
The slip that I use is on the thicker side so after pipping it on the clay, it doesn’t flatten. It remains its shape. If your slip is more watery, it may flatten more after it dries because the water content evaporated. Give it a go and let me know how it is ☺️
You are a wonderful teacher it is so interesting to watch you very patiently making you know I will definitely be doing this today thank you for sharing best wishes love and light❤
Thank you so much for the kind words 🫶🏻 it means a lot to me to have your support. Please let me know if there’s anything or any sculptures you would like me to show on video 😊
There is a special eraser you can buy that takes the purple marks off. I can’t remember which pottery store sells it but if you google it you can find it. I had a lot of purple marks after a luster firing and it took them all off without taking off the glaze underneath.
@@YvonneCeramics I know , I'm a potter too!But would you buy a box of jigsaw puzzle pieces if you cant see what all the pieces will amount to ? Its the same thing.....I wont come back to see anymore of your tutorials bcoz I already know -- you wont have the final product finished !
These are super cute, thank you for showing them off. I'm a fused glass artist I want to use ceramic stems with my glass mushroom caps. This gives me some ideas.
What interesting ideas. Please show what the baskets look like after firing, glazing and firing. I would really like to see the strawberry transfer and the bees. Thanks
Omg thank you so much for this video!! I had this happen to me and your video is so easy to follow and understand. Also showing how to reapply the kiln wash is amazing!! 💓
