The Navitimer is something else and a dangerous one to drive in your car. I have a 46 and don't even notice that it's on my wrist except when i drive my car and see it every time whyle steering. You have to pay attention to the road. For me it is the most beautifull of all watches. I have him now for 3 month and there is not even a second difference.
I got the Navi in dark green with wings logo and in rose gold. It looks and feels amazing. Personally I don't like Rolex as a brand and I find the Navi a far more exciting and eye-catching watch than the Omega. The gold case effectively doubles the price but it vastly lifts the watch and looks spectacular.
My gmt steinhart 39 gmt is exactly 1 sec a day I have it for 2 weeks now. Never listen to watch snobs who hate on Steinhart besides in the office no one even cares about mechanical watches everyone talks about newest Garmins and stuff(I am software engineer) a collegue called my pepsi a casino chip :D
I love the look of this watch and will probably add it to my collection, but is it just me or does the date look misaligned in the date window in all video’s of this watch
got the beige one as it is such a random color somehow (in the watch world). legibility is an issue with the white numerals, absolutely. the rubber strap looks a bit cheap in beige though. the lume is insane. once you come from the sunny outside into the hallway you will be stunned. very happy with it overall. the price seems rather low for this very fashionable high quality watch.
850 eur..Great watch, but too expensive.. I earn 850 Euros per month...And marketing and branding is horrible.. You can ask regular person about nivada, and they never heard of it.. unlike rolex, omega, hamilton.. Everybody know that brands.. Shame because they are good company..
@@TheWatchScientists No no.. you are right.. I was just statin the facts.. I love Nivada.. even more because founder has the same surname as me.. If it was around 600eur.. I would buy.. and probably will buy.. but not at the moment.. loans, mortages, kids, and all other expanse are bit big now..
It’s a nice opportunity to interact with your watch, glad to hear you are enjoying it. Which color of strap are you going for? There are so many possibilities
I've had this watch for 5 years now. They discontinued it in favour of the titanium variant, but I'm still in love with this watch. It held up well, I swim in the nearby river and I lived by the ocean for the past two years so it's been getting a tonne of use. No service yet despite daily wear and tear and after a little regulation it's running at +3 secs/day. The bezel has slowly misaligned over the years and some lume fell out of the ceramic bezel, but I feel like it's not something a proper watchmaker couldn't patch up. My Ocean 39 has tonnes of bumps and scratches and I love each and every one of them. It looks like a well-loved watch.
i was considering between a rolex Datejust 36 or 41 and Omega speedmaster the sam version you have.. idkn what the Hell Omega is thinking in recent years but the Speedy costs as much as a rolex datejust.. for a painted lume and mqnual wind.. i know the story and all but Datejust was just better value for what you get, bracelet , lume, legability, white gold bezel., automatic 70 hours…Omega should come to some sense with these price increases,, aint no way im paying 9300€ for the speedy…
Prices are indeed increasing too much, however out of all the bunch, a Speedy (the latest 3861) is “worth” it in my opinion, but the Speedy and DJ are two very different pieces and shouldn’t be compared imo.
Rolex’s lume is claimed to be proprietary “chromalight,” an exclusive, in-house made lume. It’s not conventional superluminova. While the Pelagos may be brighter, what separates Rolex’s lume apart from superluminova: longer lasting lume.
This is the video I needed to watch. I recently bought the BB58 blue at my AD and I was vacillating between the BB58 blue and SMP diver 300 blue. I can say now I’m a proud Tudor owner and this piece fits my wrist very well compared to the seamaster case where it’s too thick and big.
I love this watch, my collection is a sea of black and stainless. This adds a, much needed splash of colour. I am torn between the turquise and new rainbow dials. Tried both on in the boutique at Trafford this weekend. The rainbow does look more unique and can be paired with any colour strap, plus the lume is amazing! I understand the criticism, regarding an ETA movement and low power reserve. However it doesnt bother me, I always have the set my watch when I put it on, as I dont wear the same watch every day, also cheaper servicing. It a fun watch, ideal for casual wear and summer!
Finally got this watch (my first grail piece) earlier this week! Found it for $2,250 and it had just been serviced by Omega 4 months ago so finally pulled the trigger!
You didn’t really address the problems with the reduced’s movement. The one thing many reduced owners tell me the movement is garbage and will cause endless problems. Many aren’t even serviceable and end up scrapped. Which is a shame because i would really like as I have smol wrists. :(
The movement is definitely not garbage, the base caliber is a very sturdy movement. The only issue is with the module, which is still high quality (although ugly as hell). It is serviceable but many just replace the whole thing (the module) since it can be more economical .
I love Omega but my compromise is having an Aqua Terra as a more dressy dive watch and the BB58 for a sporty/tool watch. Haven’t pulled the trigger on the BB58 yet!
Hello, as an Omega collector and Rolex owner , i can tell you that Steinhart is a top brand ! watches are good ! Quality is here. And the customer service is very nice, helpful, you can speak with the watchmakers ! Just buy one many years ago, an ocean 39 pink MOP for my wife , and we are always surprised about the quality of this piece. I’ll probably buy a 42GMT Blue & Grey ceramic soon ! Kind regards
@TheWatchScientists completely false. Also the ssk series is 10 bar. Screw down crowns wear over time. What kind of scientist are you with this shoddy research?
