Thank you so much for sharing your time and talents! 😊 I’m going to crochet this for my Mom! ❤. I have a question: is the left leg mean back loop? I am left-handed so it would still be back loop? Thank you for your help. 😊
This is just so cool and absolutely what I was hoping one day to find. Would you consider writing this into a pattern? When I look at the patterns that you suggested below they’re just not as cool as this one. Thank you so much for showing us
Hi Search for the Sunny scarf by creative crochet, she is from Israel but speeks English, this scarf is so beautiful, if you want it longer then 130 cm , you will love this pattern and let know how you like it and get on with it please ❤she sells the pattern on Etsy and ravely , she has a RU-vid tutorial for the beginning of the scarf , much nicer than Sophie scarf
Hello thank you so much ! I made one with some discontinued fingering weight yarn I had. Though I did the edging in the icord. I’m about to do my second. Have a great day!
Thank you, thank you! I can knit, but didn't want to knit the Sophie. I've tried several times to come up with my own crochet version, but it's always too big and chunky at the beginning. Can't wait to try this.
Hi! Sorry for the delayed response and lack of clarity! Yes, continue doing the stacked single crochet on the end of each row and double crocheting (with increasing) while you're adding length :) Hope this helps!
I really wanted to watch your video. But I can't read your video and deal with littles. Horrible video. I really was wanting to know what you did. But not worth the time with the annoying music
Guten Abend!
hi, i have a doubt, when you reach the 11 cm, the remaining rows need also the "stacked" single crochet? , stacked in the begginig and then just dc all the time? I dont know why it gets increasing wide when i tried :(
I think I know why it’s increasing. After you do a stack crochet you double crochet till the end of the row; now this is where you have to pay close attention; you will see what you think are ‘two’ stitches at the end of the row. But really it is ‘one’ stitch because it’s a ‘stack’ when looking at it from the top you see two ‘v’s’ the second from the end is actually the top of the ‘stack’, so do a double crochet in the second ‘v’ from the end. So basically, don’t look at the top ‘v’ as the stitch, look at the length of the stitch. I hope this makes sense and it helps.
This is so lovely, thank you! It reminds me of the aviator scarf my grandma used to wear, so I am making it for my mom. Once I reached the desired width, I switched to cross double crochets and it’s turning out amazing with such a beautiful drape. One quick question before I start the decreases, do we still begin with the stacked single crochet at the beginning of the rows? I hope that’s not a foolish question; it’s my first time using that stitch. Thank you so much!
I did continue with the stacked single crochets on the decrease and it turned out great. I’ve actually made 3 of these now with malabrigo yarn and they made beautiful gifts. Thank you so much!
@@chitterzz Yes, the pattern here does call for double crochet. I went ahead and did cross doubles since the stitch count was correct for that and it turned out awesome! I’ve actually made 4 of these now. They work up quickly for gifts to those in warmer winter climates.
as someone who can't knit to save my life but can crochet in the dark with my eyes closed ...THANK YOU! lol i bought the Sophie pattern and tried it thinking it would be easy enough but my goodness. i started and frogged it at least 10 times 🙃 but I love the look of it so much
Not gonna lie I spent TWO hours today trying to knit for the first time andddd it was a total disaster!!! 😭needles are slippery and I don’t understand how you can’t hook on it… crocheting is the best!
Hi Carolyn! I am sooo thankful for this video. I was about to have a mental breakdown (literally) because I have started the Sophie scarf over and over and over again and knitting is just not for me! Hard to accept, but thats the truth. And I found your video and voilá, in 10 minutes I have reached the lenght that took me 4 hours when knitting. No crying, no stress, the "same" results. I love it! Subscribed :) PS. to anyone who is crocheting this: at the first increase I put a stich marker on that side of my work so when I was unsure I just checked and I knew if this is the side when I have to increase or not.
I’m knitting the Sophie scarf. Now I will be able to crochet it! Your pattern is really fabulous. I’m very happy to find your channel, and I’ve subscribed.
@@carolynspalding I finished my crochet sophie scarf, it's so cute! I made it out of Caron Simply Soft. Just have to steam it! Now, I need to make a sophie shawl, do you think this pattern would work for that too? Thanks again!
Im really enjoying your podcast and plans. I can't wait to see your sweater dress. Yes Malabrigo is 💣your right it isn't an easy wind up and tangled alot.
