Featuring the best food & travel in LA & Vegas! I look forward to putting out more videos every week that feature food, drinks, travel, and other experiences in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and elsewhere!
Lots of good advice. The Metro is overall great, we always use it when we visit, but you definitely need to be vigilant. Scary how much prices have changed in the last 15 odd years, I remember paying well under $100 a night for hotels the first time we visited in 2007. Of course the exchange rate from the UK was amazing back then. Highly recommend Pasadena for first time visitors. And always check out Russell’s on North Fair Oaks for breakfast, absolutely love that place. Griffith Observatory is an absolute must see like you say, that place is incredible. Worth checking out Travel Town Railroad museum if you’re visiting Griffith Park too.
Great video, I'm sure it will help out lots of people. Don't forget beaches are other free activities! Also, you can get a shared Airbnb or motel to save money on lodging if you don't mind the quality decrease. I was lucky to get a private Airbnb apartment for just $100 a night after fees back when I visited. I doubt I'll find anything like that again when I go back haha
@@stewiedoesstuff4298 Oh, yes!! Beaches are a good one. There’s parking fees if you drive, but with ways to avoid at most places if you’re willing to walk a bit.
Hey Parker! Such a great video and pretty spot on with prices. I spent 2 weeks in LA and just the hotel was over $4,000. One thing you left out was the destination fee they charge daily. This can be $25 or more per day. The good thing is many hotels give you a credit for the amount which almost makes it free. LA like many cities is expensive but truly worth the price and visit. Again, thanks!

The homeless in hollywood are harmless because they don't have the energy to mess with anyone else, and even if they do. You cause a scene in front of a massive crowd of people and you ain't on the streets anymore. The most dangerous homeless communities I've been around have ALL been on the outskirts of cities where there are no witnesses.
I love this so much. I haven't lived in Southern California in years, I'm way older than you but have always loved it there. I live in South Florida now for the past 35 years, but returned to LA and Hollywood 4 years ago for a week. I realized immediately that it's my happiest place on earth, and if I could afford it and didn't have my great condo 3 miles from the ocean here in downtown Delray Beach, and was a little younger lol, I would move back to Los Angeles. I'm so tired of the people you mentioned, who have an agenda, often political, trashing Los Angeles and Hollywood and only showing the bad parts. I'm especially tired of the celebrities who moved to Los Angeles from Bushyhead, Omaha lol, or somewhere like that and made it big and made their millions and then have now left it and trash it on a regular basis. I love Los Angeles, and if I win the lottery I'm moving back out there. There's something in the air there that I find nowhere else. Glad I came across you and well done. 👍👍
Everywhere in Hollywood is still clean. Skid row is the only one I remember that has a homeless community. Skid row is a bad area. The tourist attractions in Hollywood walk of fame and the Griffith Observatory are full of tourists. Santa Monica Pier and the Venice Beach look 100% fine. I saw people performing music at the Venice Beach and I saw a lot of guys with skateboarders.
When I was there, Los Angeles. The only homeless community you'll find is Skid row. Skid row is very dirty! I recommend staying away from the place. Hollywood walk of fame and the Griffith Observatory are very touristy!
Ive never been to WeHo. Its defintely on my bucket list when Im in L.A! WeHo is an excellent time to go at night! At night, I know it gets crowded! I would stop at Beverly Hills in the afternoon and WeHo at Night!
Great video! Loved all the updates and can't wait to check out some of these new spots in LA this fall. 🎉 If possible, could you include Quantum Clinic in your next roundup? It’s a hidden gem in LA known for its amazing sound therapy sessions, and it would be a fantastic addition to your recommendations. Thanks for all the great content! 😊👏
Your measured positivity surrounding LA is such a breath of fresh air. I'm moving to the area soon due to some unfortunate circumstances and it's so hard to find anything but negativity online, so thank you. Hopefully I'll make it out west in time to do some fun fall activities.
The LAX People Mover will hopefully be worth the wait, despite the delays. We had similar issues with the tram network in Edinburgh, but that ultimately turned out okay.
@@Parker-Green I hear that. Looking forward to trying it when it is finally up and running. The first time we visited LA we took the metro from Pasadena to LAX for our Vegas flight. We did cut it pretty fine. :) That said, we’ve used the LAX flyaway to Union Station pretty much every subsequent visit, and generally find that pretty chill.
@Parker-Green, thank you for sharing this great video. My family and I are looking forward to checking some of the events and places out once we relocate to L.A. later this fall. Keep up the great work. 👍✌️
Hollywood in certain ways is actually physically better than it was over 20-30 years ago. The land east of Grauman's (or now TLC) was once a big parking lot & so was the land west of it. Same with many properties around Hollywood & Vine. An article about the street years ago (may have been in Time magazine) described it as looking like something out of the Midwest, particularly the one-story sections east of Highland or Vine. But the culture & politics of today are admittedly allowing more crime & homelessness to filter through. Graffiti is a bigger problem too. The same before & after is true of NYC's Times Square too, which in the 1970s-80s was way seedier & looked more deprived.
Yeah, no. I live in Tucson now, but I’ve lived in Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis and Chattanooga. ALL heads above Tucson. What does Tucson have above and beyond all those places? Homelessness, crime, no police presence, ungodly heat, bad water, no cold water from the tap, black widow spiders, scorpions… the negative list is endless. Seriously.
Love the positivity. I’ve only visited Hollywood a couple times but agree it gets very unfairly trashed (as does LA and California in general). As you said, everywhere has its issues. Absolutely adore LA, and really enjoying your videos. Can’t wait to come visit LA again next year!
@@Parker-Green maybe we’ll revisit it next year. Pity you didn’t vlog the con, but there’s always next year. Might do it myself next year. I’ve seen a few people do it over the years, but not nearly as often as I’d expect.
I love Park MGM. The non-smoking aspect, the food options and the fairly small casino floor are what do it for me. It’s also easy to get to other fun casinos like NYNY, Luxor and Excalibur.
You missed all the brainless zombies walking around all over the place, the shittiest drivers in the nation and the worst streets in the state. Aside from a few parts of town(north side, far west and far east side), the city looks ugly and horrible...has really gone to shit over the past few years.
Roma market! Omg i grew up in Pasadena and my whole childhood i remember going & seeing the same man everyday he is such a hard working person! And he is still there to this day Thank you for his sharing his place❤
