GRAND hotel is the most famous hotel in Nuwara Eliya town Hearing a lot, we went to the hotel and asked for Tea Afterall, Nuwara Eliya is famous for tea The restaurant comes and tells us that they do not serve Tea WHAT ??? Did we hear well ? Yes, they do not serve local tea Upon insisting they agreed to serve us tea with Tea Bags We threw them in the dustbin, paid the money and left DISGUSTING !!! So do NOT be deceived. hotels or restaurants in Sri Lanka do not serve you the authentic tea. They just provide you a few tea bags and hot water - not the way we dream of. . A food for thought for travelers. ..
