Hello! So glad you are here. About me: After receiving my Master of Science Degree in Landscape Design from Columbia University I opened a small firm specializing in creating unique outdoor spaces. In addition to having a landscape design degree I am a huge gardener! Through my garden experience and garden research I learned to appreciate nature, art and science. I am here to share this passion with you. Yuliya :) I garden in Zone 6, Northern New Jersey.
I love this! Please do a video where you explain how each garden area evolves over the year. Things like which perennials are best at hiding bulb foliage, what can be cut back to ground, what is marking ephemerals. I am especially interested in what grows under the kwanzan cherry
Beautiful. Your gardens are growing so nicely together and I always enjoy watching your channel. Is the black mailbox looking thing a butterfly house? I dont think I've ever seen one.
This is a very beautiful garden. The plants are very healthy and the information about them is very good. Your garden and your plant update were very good. thanks dear friend
This was awesome, thank you! It’s been fun to follow along with your Insta stories, but really appreciate that you took the time to put it all together in this video. It really helped to hear how the plan was sequenced and some of the decisions that were made. You’re so generous with your time - thank you!
I love it! Amazing how a small change makes such a big difference. May I ask, what brown mulch is that? I live in south Jersey and cannot seem to find mulch that is that fine.
Yulia, first of all, I wish you lived in Houston! You are the sweetest, kindest, smartest, most generous and creative gardener ever! I adore all of your designs and the way you pour your heart into every project you do! How beautiful the turtlehead plants are along with everything else you chose for your lucky homeowners! You're the best!
Excellent work! For decades now we do this with a twist lol. We have grown organic food in our biodiverse tree guild food forest with raised beds, 4ft high with 1 - 2 foot inner drop for extra sheltered protection re growing all year round.. Hugelkutur & lasagne layering using *green & brown* materials (your method) is what we use in every bed, pot, or whichever growing receptacle. Less watering is required & less need to fertilise as often. They produce an abundance of food as well as amazing quality compost ✌🏾🦋
@@Gigi2you weeds is all a matter of perception eh.. we leave them/wildflowers we call them *as many have medicinal properties which our ancients used to heal with* and the molluscs live in there mostly lol 😆 However, as long as the plant hasn't yet gone to seed it will be absolutely fine in with your layering. Genuine...been doing it for decades & haven't had any issues ✌🏾🌟
That was a typical Anglo-American garden. Americans, those Native to these lands worked in harmony with nature just like mine. I love that you always use Native plants.
Always learn something when I watch your videos. That looks like a wonderful transformation. Love the plants in the driveway. Can't wait to see the finished project. What is the beautiful purple flower blooming behind you?
Fascinating video of the design and install process. I've always enjoyed your designs at your home and other projects. Laughed at the BEFORE shots & how often I see homes with overgrown & dying shrubs/trees. Please give us updates on this project.
