I wonder how well pumpkin dehydrates? Like for pumpkin jerky Scooby snacks. Warren can you give us a recipe for a pumpkin spice puppaccino that our pooches CAN have?
Hi Dr. Warren Eckstein, loved this video. Also the last one you posted about Pet Personality. By the way, I sent you a message. Would love to connect although it might be in your message requests. What is the topic of your next video?
I LOVE CAT NIP TOO BUT THEN I AM A CAT TRAPPED IN A HUMAN BODY!!!! Only difference I can either grow or buy the Cat Nip, one advantage of a Human Body! It has SUCH a soothing smell!
I like to video record my teacup Chihuahua so that I could see her whole body language that goes with each bark. I've gotten pretty good at understanding her. I actually think she cusses like a sailor....! 😂
Hi Dr. Ebstien I really need to talk to you I know you can help me but I can't get through I'm andera Burt if you can get back to me it would be a big help
Hi Andrea, Please give Warren a call on Sat. If you call right at 11am for the KRLA show, or right at 1pm for the national show, you should be able to get through without having to wait long. Once Warren gives out the phone number on the air, the lines get flooded, and the wait time increases. From 11a-1p PST the number is 866-870-5752. From 1P-3P PST the number changes to 877-725-8255. Those numbers only work when the show is live, so that may explain why you're unable to get through. ~Warren's assistant
Cats are very smart !!! I came home from work sat on the couch I went to move my pillow it was wet I sniffed it and sure enough it was cat pee I looked directly at my cat she looked directly at me I didn’t say a word she ran so fast downstairs 🤬🤬I’m going to put some essential oils on the couch maybe lavender or spray with peppermint !!!

Rock and a hard place

I walk with an 84 year old gentleman in our local park every morning. He lost his beloved dog a year ago, but my dog adores him and can't wait to see him. The extraordinary thing is he is like the Pied Piper to every single dog we meet in the park - they ALL adore him, and all coming rushing up to say good morning to him. As my dog is very elderly now and probably not going to last for much longer, we have agreed that we shall STILL go and walk in the park every morning, without a dog between us, but for the joy of all the other dogs we meet.
I think you are missing some other facts, it’s consistency in the training but also check the tree! Breeding behavior and health of that tree, remember that animal behavior is parallel to ours it’s about understanding the difference in that communication from being non-verbal and verbal. Dogs also use grass as a natural source of energy that people confuse as upset stomach or other issues when it’s not…carpet resembles grass by touch and scent (i.e. we carry the outside in). I have a puppy that I had absolutely no problem with and understands his chew toys but recently as his transition went to carpet when I leave I believe is related to the heat, it’s 115 degrees. Therefore as dogs also age they seek, as we do, what feels familiar. In a nutshell I think we try to over complicate simple behaviors. Vets have already made animal care into the next medicare so lets not make an M5 to!
So how would you recommend getting my dog to stop? They don’t chew on carpet when I’m away partially because they are in the crate. I have notice they want to eat grass when outside. So there definitely could be some connection there. I try and play with my dog, but his energy is endless. And I don’t have enough time to play with him for hours. I feel like it may be boredom or he has too much energy, but I don’t know how to solve that. I just need him to stop chewing my brand new expensive carpet haha.

I clean houses for a living and I love cats. I have one client with a newly adopted cat. The cat has lived most of its life in a no kill shelter with little interaction with people. It's acclimating well to the owner's and the existing cat. But it is now taken to pee on the furniture while i'm here cleaning. Do you have any recommendations for the owners or myself.
Hi KeKeLight8, Please call Warren on the show Saturday as he has some questions to ask you before he can make a recommendation. From 11a-1p PST the number is 866-870-5752. From 1P-3P PST the number changes to 877-725-8255.
The problem with measuring the difference in intelligence is cats are less open with their smarts while EVERYBODY thinks if a dog can bring a ball back and drop it he IS a GENIUS!!!!!!! I knew cats were smart the day I realized they not ONLY knew that the little knob on the door had something with opening it BUT also reached up to the knob and tried to do like the Humans did and turn it! I have even had a cat that understood that the door would open only one direction and knew when it was on one side of the door you had to push to open BUT if you were on the other side you had to pull! AND YES the cat could, if the door was not latched well, let itself both out AND in! OH and I have reason to believe they CAN Tell Time as well!
Ooops. I meant to include one last step. Show the video on your show. Since he doesn’t know who you are, which means he, most likely, doesn’t care for any pets, he’ll never see the video. You could give it to him as a moving away present.
my cat is over grooming, biting and has scratched and ears it's face raw. I haven't taken them to the hospital cause I don't have any money now and will like to know what I can do to help them, cause my other cat is now doing the same thing
Please give Warren a call on the show next Saturday to discuss this issue. He needs to speak with you to figure out if it's medical or behavioral. From 11a-1p PST the number is 866-870-5752. From 1P-3P PST the number changes to 877-725-8255. Also please visit this page on the website to see if you can get some help with veterinary expenses: thepetshow.com/financial-assistance/
I have 2 dog stories. First dogs name was Grace, she was half German Shepard and half rottie. There was a young man who lived down the street from us. His family was known for practicing dark arts. I would be outside and he would stop at the fence, and say things like what would you do if I took a rock and bashed in your sons head, and creepy stuff like that. One day the young man got into our yard. He knocked on the door. My daughter who was 18-19 yrs answers it. Grace who never has bitten or attacked anyone goes berserk . I ran and tackle her before she can get to this young man. She knew this person was not a good person. She never had seen him before that day. My daughter slams the door on him. I let her go and she stands at the door trying to get to this man. I yelled at him to get out of my yard, and not come back ever again. Second dog he kept following me around all day. He was a little guy his name is Rufus. I go into any room and he kept following me, and whining. I asked my son what was wrong with his dog. He says I don't know. His dog never hung out by me or near me, he was completely my son's dog. I finally sit at the computer, and he lays down under my feet. His whining getting worse. I was becoming so frustrated with him. I get up to move, and hit the floor. I was having a heart attack and he knew it. Needless to say I listen to Rufus now, if he starts to follow me. I get to doctor quickly.
I hate to be so graphic but my dogs breathe smells very similar to menstrual blood…gross I know and apparently this can be a sign of liver issues so he’s absolutely right there’s usually an under lying cause for rank breathe.
Warren, I can't, I get rid of the spaces on RU-vid on this show. Last week, on a Sunday, I was lucky to get your Pet Show on RU-vid without the 5 minutes breaks in between this podcast breaks. Thank you Warren & your assistant.
Thanks Warren. I love this study. We always thought our dogs looked like they were running in their sleep. Now we know that’s actually what they are dreaming. They both happen to be pitbulls. ❤️
Sorry, study, but you're completely wrong. I have three cats. Two come when called, all three sleep with me, one follows me around the house like a dog, one hooks me when I go by when he wants pets, all three like sitting on my lap when I watch TV (they trade out), they all talk to me, they all bring me toys when they want to play, one fetches like a dog, two go into the bathroom with me, one sits outside the bathroom door waiting for me, I could go on. And on. In fact, thinking of all the cat-centric households I know, I'm struggling to think of any cat who acts indifferent to their owner. So, I don't know what study methods you employed, but you did something wrong. Maybe study rocks next time? I'm sure you'd get "indifferent to owner" this time, and this time you'd be right.

My dog's actively choose to go in a crate if they want to eat their carrots and bones in there plus they like to run in and dry off if they are muddy or wet from the rain. I also have given them chances to not go in the crate when I go out but just like today, they ruined it for themselves even though they know what is and isn't expected from them.
I never crate trained my dog. I'm moving across the planet and my dog will be stuck in a crate for 20+ hours in the cargo hold. I'm hoping she doesn't suffer too much for it. We've driven for 20+ hours across the states without issue but she could see me.
