Thx this definitely helped, tho you could focus the camera more on what your hands are doing during taking off the shell. But other than that you’re good.
thanks mate, had my wolvering many year now and its just starting to double press on some buttons. this was really simple and easy to fix thanks to your video
I think you failed to mention that the FIFTH SCREW is under the Barcode Sticker with the Serial Number. If you press in on the centre of the sticker, you can feel a divet where the screw resides.
The front plate requiring a little force was an understatement I had to pull mine so hard the wires in the plate behind as well as multiple of the snap locks and my screw hole all broke and now my controller is non functional 😢
really sticky buttons fix. the back grip plates i used the mini screw driver at the bottom pointy ends and popped it off from there, and the front plate i used it starting from the top corners and worked my way around. i wouldn't just snap it off like he did.. ppl are saying their faceplate snapped. i had to take the entire back plate off and the thing in the back off too to pop the actual buttons out and clean them and their sockets.
Had this controller for 5 years, bought then Elite series2 but i prefer the wolverine by far. Anybody knows where i could buy the back grip of the razer controller? Don't want to buy a new one when it's still alive and kicking!
Thanks so much for this. I just had to replace the thumbsticks (because the grips were coming off) which involved me having to replace the base. Also gave it a nice scrubbing while I was in there. I think the hardest part was getting the faceplate off (somehow managed to get the back one off).
Could you be so kind to let me know what you replaced the base and thumbsticks with? Mine are starting to wear out and I'd like to replace them but Razer doesn't sell the thumbsticks. Are the bases universal, like can I just buy elite bases and thumbsticks and replace them with those or do I need something special? I see you just posted a week ago so I'm hoping I'll get a reply and if you do it will be greatly appreciated.
@@DesidiosumCorporosumHominis Yeah, just bought a whole kit that had replacement sticks and base since the Razer ones don't work with the Elite fitting, but the Elite base should fit inside the Razer shell.
Thanks a lot. Bought this controller about a year and half ago and it’s been far and away the best I’ve ever used, but with all things it needed a good clean. Going to disassemble and give it a clean to try fix sticking buttons and the left stick. Really appreciate you taking to time to help out people ❤
I am trying to upgrade my dash speakers its a 2017 SL with factory bose. I know center 3.5in will fit no issues but the corner ones what would fit as it looks tight and not sure if 3.5in would work
@Shane23Armada I've had audis, bmw, Mercedes and lexus so compared to that yhe audio is a bit muddy. However i put in a new radio in which has a nice equalizer and now with stock speakers it sounds way better.
@eliteimpression7746 it's sad how.the 2023 armada sv didn't comes with bose. We got a new 2023. With no bose. I wanna run a amp with new speakers but I am scared
I "accidentally" dropped my controller face down and now the thumb sticks won't click anymore. The left one seems more damaged since when you click it it'll get stuck and keep pressing it until I move it. And when I say it doesn't "click" I mean the clicking noise is very faint and you can't really feel it. I've already taken it apart but I'm not sure how to fix it. I've fixed other Xbox controllers before but this one is obviously different. Any tips?
Yeah. So once you get the plates off it's actually really simple. Once you get you just pull it apart to expose the bottom of the circuit board. There are like 4 main screws that you have to take out and then 2 screws that you need to remove that hold the M1 & M2 buttons Thats really all there is. A year ago my controller had a cracked trigger. I'm somewhere in the comments here. I figured it out. Ordered me a second controller for spare parts. it's
Honestly it's pretty easy to get to the circuit board from here literally the bottom frame pulls away as well then its just 6 screws that hold in the circuit board and you can get access to the buttons directly. You can use 70% if you want to on it. I don't see an issue.
What is yours cracked? Look order yourself a 2nd controller a scrap one with good triggers. Follow this when he gets the plates off remember that you already took out all the screws that hold this thing together. The bottom just comes off you wont have to fight much just work at it. Once you get that off you should see the circuit board down there. take off the 2 screws holding the M1 AND M2 buttons. Then take off the 2 large screws and the 2 smaller screws toward the base of the circuit board. Don't worry about the ribbon cable connected. Now the triggers are held on by a single screw. Now you should see 2 screws one on each side that were covered by the circuit board. Take those off and you should be able to slide the triggers out as a whole unit and work on them. The RB and LB buttons are a bit more complicated. But you can pop off that razer/xbox grey top part it's fairly easy to do. An remember to take pics as you remove stuff because as far as I know there are no images online.
