Hi. Thanks the your video!! I have a question. On these drop edge metals, I was told the rake dripage should not lay against the board, but be slightly angled off and away from the board...is that not correct? Thanks.

thank you for the instructions, your the best instructor on installs , was a little confused with architectural shingles I wanted to install on a shed and came straight to your channel , now I am confident to do the job , Im in Collingwood where are you thanks again Bill
You are the best roofing instructor on YT. Thanks for making these. I went from zero knowledge to successfully roofing my own shed build based on them.
This is 100% WRONG!! Roofers did this on my roof and water got in behind the gutter and fascia board and completely rotted it out. Even if you had a tin clad fascia board it would still leak in behind. Do NOT DO THIS!!
I was following this method and on my second "run" of shingles I precut everything but accidentally skipped over what should have been the 3rd shingle (one with 12 inches cut off). How big of a deal is this?
I'm really confused.....we used architecture shingles with no tabs to cut for the cap and tried using them for the cap but the shingle is really stiff to bend. This is for a shed. Do we need to go buy regular shingles?? Or are there special cap shingles they sell??
Almost all manufacturers have their own hip and ridge products. You can only use shingles for cap if they are 3 tab shingles. Architectural shingles should never be used for capping.
