You'd have to change the wiring loom or have your 50cc loom adapted also need to change the engine mount, either get a whole 125 mount welded in or shave a 50cc mount ideally you'd want the 125 mount
Hey bud love the vids.. jw if u think I should be concerned.. I’ve got a sr 172 the same engine as a typhoon I believe. Got spooge coming out the exhaust barrel/ manifold and it’s leaking down the exhaust u think that would cause can air leak ?? I have the part but just wanted to be sure sound as 👊
When you say spooge? Like oil coming from the exhaust? Outlet? If so it's worth maybe taking apart and inspect and replace any broken gaskets or seals etc
@@Garage_Four_Twenty it is a standard pipe, it doesn’t fit because of the subframe. Hits it in some way that the bow can’t be screwed on to the exhaust port
@tomkranenonk3163 have you got a typhoon 50cc mount or another, also try bolting the downpipe to the exhaust then mount as a whole it's fiddly but doable, I also should of mentioned I chnaged the studs and nuts on the cylinder for a m8 Allen type bolt because it's a smaller head and doesn't require a 13mm hex
@@Garage_Four_Twenty typhoon 50cc subframe and turned it around so the head can fit. I’ll try and fit the block with the downpipe already on. Doubt it will work but we will see, thanks.
@@Garage_Four_Twenty no worrys u no u have actually convinced me to stop the gilly build and swop to a typhoon build also i see u said about the grab rail. Depending on where u live have u thought bout having it dipped in acid to strip it
@@Garage_Four_Twenty im not sure if its any use or how far bromley is from you br1 my brother in law owns a alloy wheel referb company he might be able to give u some ideas on how to sort the grab rail
It probly could but you've got to think the gilly is liquid cooled, so there's plugs for that side of things, also the indicators are different locations, the plugs will be different also its definitely not just plug and play, the closest I've seen to a typhoon loom is a mk1 skr / skipper loom
@@keeaan6895 if you watch through you'll see where I mention about cutting the frame to run the vx forks, the runner St forks are plug and play but you can only use one collar on the stem rather than two
@@carvideos6163 cheers mate for replying mate iv just managed to get my hands on a 340 gl wich I’m looking a modding into a fun street car 😊 Would like to put a Volvo red block in it so a b200et engine
I would install an 440 turbo in it. Thats the same engine as the 1700cc. Only remove 1 pin in the ezk (14),and bend the wastegate with a tire lever until approximately 5 mm of movement remains You wil have +- 160hp. with the standard turbo.
I know what you mean about lack of UK videos. Finding content is like finding chicken teeth 🤣🤣 Look forward to watching it get built bro and glad I found your channel.
Thanks mate I appreciate it, and yes it's hard to find content, my Mrs laughs when I sit there and watch the foreign stuff I may not know what they are saying but I know what work they are carrying out 👍
@@Garage_Four_Twenty Thats it mate, you learn with your eyes all the same 👍 . Plus a lot of foreigners are bilingual so about time we all learnt some other languages anyway 😅
Thanks for the feedback, I'm currently just recording on my phone if I get enough interest in the videos I'll possibly upgrade to a camera or something
Currently on a standard 125cc 2t crankshaft, with new bottom main bearings, there was minimal play in the crank so was ok to use in my opinion 👌, updates coming soon 👍
Hello, wow, what good pieces, the best, it is one of my most desired projects, I would particularly like to put the fairing of a black NRG MC1 on it, good luck with the project
