April 2020 - feels like Covid is taking over the world. I play this old game for the first time on my original XBOX... Fell in love with everything about this game; especially the music and the art style. It now holds an awesome place within my heart. 🖤
Warrior within has a great moral message for young men, sometimes you make choices in your life which were mistakes and you have to accept the punishment for those mistakes, avoiding that punishment *will* eventually create a worse event to happen and you'll face a worse punishment. Yes the prince escaped death and saved the empress, but he unknowingly subjected his own kingdom to death in order to save himself
A good take? BUT The message of Warrior Within according to the developers themselves is that with enough focus, commitment and sheer will a man can achieve the impossible. Besides, if you made a mistake and you are gonna be killed for it, would you just sit there and let them kill you? Or fight for your life? Think on that and besides, the kingdom being subjected to death is only shown fully in The Two Thrones and is not fully shown in Warrior Within.
A lot of the things Two Thrones tries to paint as flawed in the Prince's character is contradictory with the facts; and feeling like you or one deserve punishement for being naive and being manipulated is assinine. The Prince couldn't predict that saving himself would bring back the vizir to life as he escape a deadly god of time - nor was it a mistake he knowingly comitted, he got unfairly cursed and became a time paradox twice but managed to undo it all. Geralt7050 is on point. So i would disagree with that kind of message to an extent; if your survival instinct works properly and there's no choice, fight like hell against all odds. If you deserve punishement let it be for actual justice to judge that objectively and fairly.
@@ProsecutorValentine Exactly 💯, The Prince feeling guilty in Two Thrones is fine because anyone would feel guilty knowing that their actions caused these things, but at the same time the Prince HAD to be that way to live so he can't really be blamed.
3:27 that part sent me back to being 13 y/o and spending all night on my grandmother's computer playing this game at the lowest possible settings. This has been one of my favorite games since then.
