Welcome to the FoCo FlowShow! This channel was created to feature all things awesome about mountain biking with a focus on the mountains of VA Blue Ridge. Based in Charlottesville, VA, my goal is to find FLOW wherever possible riding the best trails I can get to in my travels for work, vacation, and everywhere in between. What you can expect from this channel:
- Lots of First Person POV footage of trail rides - Bike Park Footage - Featured Trail Segments with Strava and Relive Data - Father Son/Daughter Ride Videos - How To (or not to) Videos - Bike Checks - Trail Builds - Anything else bike and/or fun related

Watch my other video of Timber Ridge to Wolf Ridge. The upper section is pretty rowdy with some high speed ridge sections and a pretty nasty rock garden near the top but I wouldn't say its an expert trail. The only thing to remember is its relatively remote with no cell service so help isn't close.
Hey FoCo, did this on Saturday as an addition to the Lookout Mountain trail. Made it a much fuller day and Grindstone was really fun so thanks so much for the tip! To return the kudos have you ever done Heartbreak Ridge near Old Fort in NC? HIGHLY recommend that in combo with Kitsuma - one of the best rides I've ever done (a company in Old Fort do a reasonably priced shuttle that is well worth it).
@@wayneemslie8904 awesome - glad you got it done! I’ve done Kitsuma a few times over the year but haven’t carved out the time to do HBR … it’s DEFINITELY on my to do list
had a 2.6" Agarro in the front, switched to a maxxis dhr 2.6 maxxgrip. Didn't notice at all the increase in grip, did notice how sluggish they were. The sidewalls were stiffer but didn't conform to corners well which meant I would burp the tire in corners with low pressures. Disappointing, after seeing this, maybe I'll just buy the Mazza 2.6 and leave the Agarro in the back, let's see how it goes.
Yea, Mazza front and back felt a lot like DHFs front and back. I liked the grip a lot but then both ended up with weird pitch flats and so I moved on to Continental Kryptotal and Xytonals. Perfect grip combo but both have had weird "maxxis wobble" issues. Didn't take the time to get film footage for a review video on those. I've got my eye on the brand new Schwalbe Albert Radials next as soon as they are availab.e
man.. i tried middlefork on my big enduro eMTB and it wasnt easy.. such a long heavy bike.. you made that little rock roll one look easy.. two rocks on either side made me nervous.
@@scstinger5 no - i sold it to get a down country bike. I loved this bike but it was basically a hardtail that I rode the same as my ripmo. I wanted something lighter and livelier and got a revel ranger. That said, I’d definitely still ride the heck out of this bike if I kept it
@@paulpatriot1776 no it can be ridden both ways but most people shuttle it the way we did so that it’s allllllll downhill the whole way back to Damascus
@@FoCoFlowShow Thank you so much! I’m planning on riding the full 34 miles from white top to the end then back to white top. I appreciate your response. 🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴
I have been unfortunately NC state-bound this Summer and haven't used my season pass. Ninja Bob/Missing Link is my favorite trail and once you go a little faster the flow picks you up a lot more.
Even if you're recording 1080p, try to scale it up and upload at least as 2.7K because RU-vid uses a different codec and MTB footage immensely benefits from that bump up.
@@syzygyfpv5135 ya - I just pushed this from my phone to see how it would look… my normal footage on my long form videos should look better - let me know
I’m moving to Wake Forest this weekend. New Light is going to be my new home trail (which works perfectly since I mainly ride Sundays lol). The elevation profile and tech looks very similar to what I’m used to so I’m stoked to have this out my back door.
Is the part you rode relatively smooth? My Fiido X does fine on tightly packed surfaces and looser gravel for short distances but it isn't made for mountain bike trails or continuously bumpy surfaces. I also have a Lectric XP 2.0 which is a fat tire ebike with suspension but it is kind of a beast to load in the SUV. Which would you recommend for the section you rode?
@@FoCoFlowShow LOL, I freakin know man. It’s like living in WV and then everyone asking how often I go to snowshoe (then I had to follow up with ~I have never been there ~ prior years, until I went last year
Outstanding Video! I plan to check this out next month as a possible adventure with the grandkids. Seeing your kids enjoying this trail and noting the fun stops along the way is the best advertising ever.
I think you can but definitely email Yeti and confirm directly with them to make sure you can and it doesn't void a warranty or anything. Also make sure you get the correct mounting hardware
This was definitely fun but probably not a destination trail. THat said, there's a handful of other trail systems in the greater PGH area so you can definitley have fun.
@@michaelorlando3647 yes!!! Gooseberry was my first choice but it was an extra 30mins away and I only had one shot to ride so maximized ride time. Hoping to grt back out here next year and do all the mesas! Grafton DH looks gnarly
@@mattdelgado3825 I’ve had them for 2+ years and really like them… the carbon bars that came on my V2S were actually too stiff, so I took the vibras off my V2 and put them on. They don’t completely eliminate the hand pump but they do minimize it
I went there. Recognized the parking lot in the video. I only found one trail. The bull run. Are there other trail heads for the black and green trails?
@@FoCoFlowShowyup, you're right. I knew about that trail but for some reason I swore I'd read there were no bikes allowed. Just checked, and they are...but only on specific sections which I didn't realize before. Cool. I'll have to try that out next time I'm there, looks like 13 miles if you go out and back from the Marina.
