anthony papaleo yes, I did the work and had the car towed without starting it to a GM repair facility. They reprogrammed the ECM, and offered me a job lol
anthony papaleo also, injectors were not AC Delco, but they were the proper part number from the brand I got from Summit at a fraction of the cost. I apologize I don’t have the part number I got, but it was compatible to AC Delco. This repair was done over the summer and I still have zero issues with the car as of today. No check engine light and the car is running beautifully. In fact my gas mileage improved by almost 15 miles to the gallon. There is a forum online for Chevy HHRs. I will look up the link and try to post it here if I can.
charger44073 Thanks for the info and yes I check into chevyhhr.net too .. also you could drive that car with the new injectors and it would run fine but you would get a check engine light again without a reprogram ecm ..
anthony papaleo With this specific issue it was not advisable to drive the car before having the engine control module reprogrammed. It’s because the original part that was installed was the incorrect part number and I was told it would cause other issues. So I just played it safe. Let me know how you make out with your car.
