Beautiful rendition, I'm not sure why RU-vid has only just put this on my TL. This is the one song above all others that I really, really want to be able to play but my ability is nowhere near the level to do it justice. Yet. But you did a fabulous job.
@@stevesutherland8247 Thanks Steve! You’ll get there. There’s both an easy and an advanced version in the Songs library. I don’t think the version I’m playing is there anymore.
Hi! Thanks for your comment. I learned this one from Pianote. I’m been learning with them for 2 years. They have a lot of Blues and Boogie Woogie content. I’m an adult returning student so I did a few years of lessons when I was much younger too.
@@janeS9773 I’m afraid I don’t have the sheet music. It’s in the key of Gb major. I learned the chord progression which uses Gb major, Eb minor, Db major and Cb major. The melody is played by ear, starting on Bb. It uses all the black keys, plus F and Cb on white keys. Hope that might get you started!
Beautiful Brigit! You make everything look easy, effortless and expressive!👏😍I came to love Handel’s music after playing his Impertinence. This sounds like another chords-driven piece, like Mr B’s Prelude😉 I may give it a go, another candidate for memorization perhaps?😊
@@honghongecker969 Yes definitely!! You will enjoy this piece, and it is the easiest piece I’ve ever tried to memorise. Learn the repeated chord progression and master the fingering. It’s in the Pianote songs library. I decided from the start to study the sheet music but never play with it. So it’s solid in my memory now. Looking forward to hearing your progress!
Bravo Brigid .. You made this song your own and "Boy Wonder" smile :) You're a huge INSPIRATION to all those who know and follow you on PIANOTE. Now it's time for me to practice and follow your lead. Cheers
@@ronaldmckeown3380 Thanks so much for your support and kind words Boy Wonder! I’m really glad you enjoyed it. I’ve learnt so much from Pianote lessons and other members. Keep practicing! I believe in you! ☺️
@@JanePryce Thanks so much. It’s a really enjoyable piece to play. Once everything clicked, my hands just seemed to know where to go. I’m not usually good at memorising, but this was by far the easiest piece to memorise as it’s just repeating patterns. I recommend it!
@@portlypianist Thanks so much. Simple but a pretty melody. I don’t know if you know the song, but it is beautiful when sung. Look up Sinéad O’Connor or other artists.
@@brigidmansell The song was not familiar to me but I looked up Sinéad's version of it now. And listened your playing again. You have captured the essence of the song really well.
This is my favorite piece and you truly rendered it beautifully. I started practicing it but found it difficult although the same pattern happens over and over. Congratulations, your are truly inspiring me to keep on practicing it. 😊
@@fi6844 Thanks so much for your kind comment! This is a Pianote member favourite! It is a great one to play from memory (my weakness) because it’s just patterns. But coordinating the two hands together took a bit of practice til it suddenly clicked.
Beautiful rendition. You play skillful and fluently. I have started playing it but at the level of getting the keys in place. Maybe one day, if I continue practicing, I will get as good you.
Bravo !!Miss !!
