Leslie Meier is one of my favorite authors. I started reading her book Mail Order Murder when I h a d brought my car in for repairs I had gone to the bookstore looking for a book and saw that one on display. I have been reading her books ever since. I was tickled pink to find that she was a local author.

I really enjoyed this interview. Not only did you give us insight into how you build a story, but also how important the location of the story is. This looks like a fabulous book, as does your new detective series. Congratulations!

It'a wonderful that Joseph has the humility and grace to fly on his own. He Doesn't mention he (must be) the son of famed Paul Theroux, whose critical, quirky, elevating, funny nature I adore. BTW, Joseph is giving a book talk at the Hilo library on Sat Feb 22. 1-2 PM. (Car-free to reverse climate chaos.).
