Today I shoveled two shovels of small rocks, water, dried grass, clay & sand soil , and mixed up one nice brick worth.. I then plopped it down to dry in the sun 🌞🌞 I put it out to dry as my first ever Adobe mud pie. I put a plop on a tree knot and the majority on a stump that was cut up last week. Both in the sun and weather to dry and wait 6 months , to see what happens to my first ever mud pie.. I would like to make an Adobe or Cob house. Or a pole barn with roof intact, then fill in-between the poles with cob or straw bales, then cover straw with cob & lime plaster to protect cob.. I don't know anything about the process other then watching RU-vid.. Would like to make a 20X 30 straw & Cob style Cabin on my mountain property...
Thank you so much Michelle, these short movies are just amazing! I miss Eco and miss all out team of volunteers. Hahaha Pa drink for that English :) <3
Lol 😂 are you serious? Next you will be saying that trees are a fire hazard. Tell you what, why not light your curtains on fire and see if your dwelling is a fire hazard 😆 Many people live within their limits and constraints of both income and finances. If you were limited to $10 or even $100 a week how would you live?
@@freshimpactco.8698 I know the Amish had barns with straw roofs; the rule was never to go in there after dark because you would need a petrol lamp and then fires DID start very often.
@@anaesterhazy631 Yes common sense has to be an important part of one's situation. And I'm sorry if my previous comment sounded harsh Ana, I didn't mean to sound so critical. The Cobb mix for the structure is none flammable, however the roof is indeed a concern. I imagine they live similarly to the Amish when it came to caution around open flames and their dwellings. It may not be used for sleeping in, perhaps it's a store house.
