I was a huge Urban fan but he really let Ohio State down. Take your four-game suspension. Don't say you have headaches and then return a year and a half later
Who is coach Mickey referring to when he says, "c'mon Tommie! Football starts tomorrow, Tommie!" Thanks for the upload--love college football, can't stomach pro ball anymore (but of course, a Vikes fan here--"just once before I die" fan since the '60s).
As an Ohio State fan I remember Urban being the Florida coach when he coached Heisman trophy winner Tim Tebow. I saw that 2007 team beat Ohio State in the BCS team then a few years later he would resign from Florida and then after Tressel resigned because of the Tattoo Gate scandal in 11, he was hired on.
@@daeclipse03 duh they work just as hard as professionals they deserve to get paid to now maybe more kids won’t jump straight to the lead and they will actually finish school and get that degree
lolol people made to big a deal out of selling the gold pants...other teams would have the players suspended...but for the buckeyes, its a take away of a natty. That would would have won it all
Supposedly Woody Hayes’s salary in 1978 was $42,000 per year. Good for 1978 compared to other occupations but not close to the millions of dollars D-1 coaches make today.
Have always respected and liked Ohio state I feel it is the easiest football program to win at in college football combine facilities, tradition, recruiting base, conference, stadium andfan base
Mostly he would not recognize modern college football, he was old school ! Three yards and a cloud of dust ! My late father use to say the young may die, but the old must die ! When I ask him what he meant by this he would reply if George Washington's generation was still alive there would be no progress. By their stature and position in society they would stop progress ! We would still be riding in the horse and buggy !
Love to see Urban out with the team laughing yet serious, yelling yet quiet, respectfully demanding yet not pushy. Thank you for this video and Go Buckeyes
Just to articulate the issue that people were mentioning at the end is that Zeke goes 85 yards when WR Evan Spencer levels 2 LBs and that's a mistake by Bama. A perfect zone blitz is called knowing that they want to hit Cooper on a slant on 3rd down and it's a pick-six, but it was stupid Kiffin or a mistake by Blake Simms. In their minds, no one has ever succeeded against them. Any success comes entirely at the result of their mistakes. The fact is they were dominated. The punter kept them in the game and other than a handful of plays OSU outcoached and outplayed them the whole game.
