Homeschool years go quickly!!! We have bought poetry books but we can’t do it daily!!! My kids pick them up randomly tho!!! My older kids read them to the kids in the homeschool room at the time!!! We have 2 families living together in a bigger house!!! We have nothing wrong with dragons but we don’t do magic!!! My friend agreed with us so we don’t worry about it!!! My older kids know our values and are allowed to read poetry about it as they are old enough to think thru things!!!

Now we are in Hawaii I have a teenager who decided she wanted to do anime as an elective so she goes to a local class!!! She bikes there herself tho!!! I don’t just go to the supermarket often but we now go to 3 supermarkets as we have an international one where we can get Aussie food and a Hawaiian one and a American one!!! We love easy pancakes as I have kids who love them for brekkie!!!
Having multiple grocery stores would be amazing. We basically just have Walmart and Aldi. Which is suppose is more than enough but options is sometimes nice.
I used to do two videos a week. That burned me out after a bit. But I like watching all kinds of content❤ I’m looking forward to watch the other videos in the Collab. I think that’s cool she does summer school :)

It is inspiring... its so easy to see when other people are overdoing it, but harder to see it in yourself. I am in the process of notifying our co-op we arent participating this year, and its hard but necessary. My kids are burnt out... me too, but its easier to push myself😅 But we are gaining a full day back a week!!!
It's crazy how much we put on ourselves. I don't even know the last time I just enjoyed a minutes outside or watched tv. like this constant running cant be good and is something I'm working on fixing.
It’s hard to set limits Melissa it is easier to just take on things and get things done but ❤ yes it can get very overwhelming when things piled on! I am glad stepping back helps us be more effective and more productive with the thing we do!❤
You are very busy and we’ve started learning to pace ourselves!!! My older daughter asked me to go to an anime class and I said she had to bike and have her phone on her!!! I feel homeschool is awesome and we make sure it happens!!! Don’t worry if there are less videos!!!

Thank you for this video! This was a jewel to find! I was flabbergasted when I got the curriculum and it didn't mention how to incorporate the student textbook! My kids love magic school bus too so I'm excited to try your method.
Make older kids play chess and backgammon and my 3rd grader is learning both games!!! Our chess boards look like that!!! My father in law makes backgammon fun!!! We get competitive with chess and backgammon and my husband leaves the room If he loses!!!

Can barely hear the mower & to be completely honest, the lull of the mower is extremely relaxing after spending all day with my very loud and very lovable children all day 😂
I don’t keep packing!!! It be difficult to travel with and I buy stuff locally for the table!!! My husband loves chess so my older kids can play it, he hates backgammon but my older kids play it with him!!! We recently bought from timber doddle and we didn’t get it for a week after it was at our house as we were travelling and when we got it it wasn’t wreaked so I was pleased with it!!! I’ve never bought a social skills curriculum as I don’t see a need personally and if I don’t see it a need for my kids it’s one less thing to do as bookwork!!!
I completely understand how it would be inconvenient to keep packaging when traveling as much as you guys do :) I also agree that social skill curriculum isn’t needed for all kiddos :) Hope you guys are doing well. Are you home or currently traveling?
That's a great topic and we're held to such a high standard of perfection at work that there's so much guilt when we fall short with our kids or taking care of the home.
Hey Melissa, yes I can relate to this! When my kids were younger cleaning and organizing was on the back burner and I didn’t always keep those plates spinning. But I’m in a different season now where I get to focus on homemaking! Also, I will say I try to be as authentic as I can on social media while still curating an artistic and aesthetic style in my filming and editing! So glad you could join this month! I’m the one who hosts this collab but I know it’s confusing cuz Jess and I host the Homemaking collab together!😂💖
