Hey Guys! My name is Rubes and I'm a magic fanatic from New Zealand. I love opening boosters and exploring whether it's worthwhile to open sealed (in the right scenario) or to stick to singles. I'm stoked to be able to share my passion with you all out there. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the videos!
I feel like this was clickbait... 8 of those packs together equal $180 (which equals $300 NZD). This is my first video watching this channel, so i don't know they dude, i just feel like its a fools deal. Everyone knows to buy singles, because packs don't give you value generally, but opening all of these packs would MORE than equal $300 NZD. Idk
they print way too many and release more sets than they should but they're getting away with it or they would stop. when i saw the production numbers on how much they print, one learns that this shit is not rare or very valuable. i'd rather buy bulk and make kitchen table decks to play at home for cheap or just play mtg arena for cheap also with their passes
I really enjoyed the set, but I acknowledge it was severely powered down. Fun mechanics, enjoyed the flavor, and the Bonus sheet was excellent! I actually opened some Brother's War today, got a pre-release kit off ebay, 20bucks, pretty good deal. No remarkable pulls, but aside from Portal To, the best card in the set to chase is Ashnod's Altar, off the Bonus sheet.
My printer works great what you mean to expensive😂😂 no but for real dude proxy the cards you want to play with put the real ones in a binder and forget about them
CBK! Loved this box opening! Sorry it didnt do well for ya money wise, but dang the art in this set was amazing. My favorite artist is Kev Walker and I saw a lot of his awesome art in this one (that Balance looks so metal!). Terese Nielsen's art is so damn beautful. Too bad she wasnt allowed to have a political view (she likes Trump) or any other personal beliefs that didnt coincide with the woke mob.
Hey Matt, ya win some, ya lose some :D I love his art for 'Savor' from Bloomburrow, dude is seriously talented. You're right balance is metal as hell haha love that card. (evil face)
I have a Mox Amber from DMU, didn’t even realise it was valuable - just had it in a shit goblin tribal concept deck. Have a sheoldred the apocalypse sitting around too
Man, with how excited you usually are for your degenerate land destruction cards, really thought you'd show more excitement for that Worldgorger Dragon. Seems like that kind of thing should have been right up your alley
Hey Bunk, thanks for breaking the ice - Yeah sometimes I just need to strike a balance. Wouldn't want to cause armageddon and create a strip mine, turning my channel into a wasteland. It is vindicating seeing the worldfire I've created by showcasing my fondness for obliteration. Anyway, I'm going to sink into a hole before I cause any more catastrophe & a take tectonic break so I don't become a casualty of war. ;)
The true value of this set is the draft experience but they are admittedly fun to crack open. Though if you're only opening them it's probably better value to go for the retail version since instead of the mostly worthless play test cards you get a foil sheet with other goodies
When I pulled my mystery booster box I found that it had a collation error that caused you to get duplicates of the same cards within the booster box. It’s interesting to see an opening after that has been fixed.
@@CardboardKiwi also the woodcock I’ve seen so many videos of these birds doing their little dance across the road and people stop for them and they take their sweet time 😂
i pulled a scarab god invocation out of a fat pack the same month the set came out and i immediately went and sold it for some shitty sleeves, deck boxes and a binder. i regret that choice to this day.
So basically they put all the cards that didn’t sell from previous editions, repacked them and sell them as completely new product? Thanks, but no thanks.
Hey you raise a great point there. It certainly wouldn't feel great if that's what they did. This product is a full reprint set! These cards were all selected for various reasons to come together to create and exciting and mysterious draft experience! You can tell these are reprinted by the small Planeswalker symbol in the bottom left of the card :)
Damn its cool finding someone from NZ who does box openings and your damn knowledgeable about so so many cards and little bits of mtg trivia which really makes you enjoyable to watch, you've cracked something here bro! Keep up the Mahi my bro.
