That is an excellent question. Although there are not many people who play flamenco on an electric guitar, there are some who have done it and done it really well. Take Ben Woods for instance. He has a few videos on RU-vid, and watching his videos hopefully gives you a very good idea about what it's like to play flamenco on an electric guitar: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iJ9_7Z2kEOk.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R3T4JUJQ248.html Now, regarding your question on whether it would be possible to learn this lesson on an electric guitar. We haven't tried it at Learnavel, and I know that Adam del Monte haven't tried it himself, but like I mentioned, people like Ben Woods and others do play Solea, Bulerias, Tangos and just about every other flamenco palo on an electric guitar, so I have to say yes, it is quite possible. There are differences between an electric guitar and a flamenco guitar of course, and some of those differences impact the way you execute a flamenco technique. So, don't be afraid to experiment and modify the techniques to make it work on your guitar. Really interested to find out what you do with this lesson! All the best,

Sorry about the misunderstanding. This is the advanced-beginner level lesson in the style of Solea. It is not meant to be a guitar lesson for a beginner who just picks up the guitar. Before signing up for this particular lesson our online students start with a series of lessons in Flamenco Guitar for Beginners series, then Flamenco Guitar Techniques series, followed by Rasgueados Techniques lesson and Picado Techniques before diving into the flamenco styles like Solea as well as Alegrias, Tangos, etc. I hope this helps, and again sorry about the confusion.

Hello I have bought this class on the NewLearningVision. But the document of Tab&Score has lots of error, especially the Tabs, lots of chords are different from the video, and it is imposiible place the chord like the document. Otherwise, it is an Intermediate to Advanced studies class, it should have chord degree or the name of the chord on the Score document. I'm highly praised the music and skills about master Adam del Monte. But currently, there is a gap from my expectation about completeness of this class.

Hi! Self-learner here... I have a technical question I hope you will be kind enough to answer. Lets say you are playing a fast scale melody in the first position on the guitar neck ala Panaderos. Loosely speaking, each string will have approx. 2 notes which will need to be fretted and one open string. I find that the when I have to play the open string, the guitar neck flies out of the hand, because there is no fretting pressure, countering the force from the right arm. What I try to do is to use 'left hand finger preparation' as much as possible (even if that anticipated note is only in the next bar) so that there is always a fretting pressure on the fret-board, but i find that this can hinder left hand mobility and generally looks awkward if overdone.. I may be mistaken (please correct me if I am), but it seems in Panaderos , Paco is NOT using the strict classical left hand posture, but rather what appears to be a blues guitar posture, where part of the left hand is glued to the bottom of the guitar neck (around the Index metacarpal area), which I presume is to provide stability for playing open strings... Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you.

it's this funny instrument you may have heard of called "guitar"... the players have fingernails... maybe even "every flamenco and/or classical guitar player ever"...
