I just bought a custom shop Alex Lifeson Epiphone Les Paul with additional stuff for $1300. A Gibson custom shop Les Paul Lists for $6000. It as worth it cause I cannot afford a Gibson
"Of course there's a bunch of differences with the tuners and stuff but we won't get into that." Why not? Isn't that the entire point of the video? 15 minutes was just the maximum amount of time your memory card would hold? SMH
The Taylor is great quality built guitar. It sounds happy and chill. The Martin reminds me of someone’s drunk Uncle, passed out in a lawn chair all night long. 😂
@@bryanhernandez2891 I’m glad I’m not alone on this opinion, sometimes expressing triggers passions, Hopefully dingwall work on it on better electronics and pickups positions, having the pickups aligned with the harmonic location is not exactly the best for a good sound, only in theory might sound good but not in practice
i own the se version aqnd have added the three way toggle to it. For me being an singer/guitarist it only makes things waaaay easier for quickly switching for songs that have both acoustic and electric elements. It cost around $200 to do it, and had to find a competant repairman to do it (I went to third coast guitars in chicago to have it done) PRS does not supply the schematic to have this mod done jtlyk. I have considered doing the split pickups on it in the future. Overall its an awesome guitar
I really like the sound of this. Nice, round "oomph" at lower frequencies, remaining really polite in the treble even when digging in. I don't even feel it can only do metal. Probably a great "bread & butter" bass too. I wonder how well it cuts through the mix not sounding as harsh as many other basses.
I do like the Silver Sky SE, BUT there is one problem and that is changing strings as the ball ends do get stuck/jammed in the trem block thus requiring a tool to force them out and it also forces you to re-adjust the intonation which is a real pain in the butt. I don't know if the SE version has modified the manufacture of the trem blocks yet, so...
Thanks for posting. I have a beautiful Taylor GS custom built for the 2012 Taylor Road Show that I bought in 2014. I decided that it was time to buy myself another nice guitar so I spoiled myself with a "new" 2021 Martin D18 and I really like it. I thought I was going to sell the Taylor...but....yeah, not happening. I'm keeping both! Haha..
Great video! I think overall I liked the Dingwall Combustion with 3 pickups more but was really impressed by the slap sound of the Spector. I am really tempted to purchase a Dingwall. In Australia at least there is not much price difference between the Dingwall and the Spector. The former is only about $500 AUD ($337 USD) more expensive from what I have checked.
Omg! Usually I am against signature guitars, and let’s face it they are always just the same as their normal counterparts aside from some tiny difference like pickups… but this, this is one of the most iconic basses or guitars in rock ever!!
The bass is beautiful but, if I am going to buy a Spector, I want a Spector that sounds like a Spector. The sound of the Fishman pickups do not sound like a Spector. The PJ many not be as versatile but it doesn’t have to be it sounds like a Spector!
I was considering buying the EHB but it sounds SOOOO weak compared to the other two. Didn't know it only had a 35" scale. This video may have saved me from an expensive mistake.
