It should be a good game and really could go either way. Seattle has been playing well this year and even though they are banged up the Lions are too. A lot of guys are still playing hurt which I don’t know how much will help

I wouldn’t say he is a bust and it’s definitely the nerves getting to him. We will see how he plays this week against the Texans. The Bears have a bright future and if they can do it right Caleb will be successful. My only worry for the Bears is the OL and if they can protect him long enough

@WingedCatsSports Finally, someone understands that it's the O-line! First, and this is important to note I believe, is that Caleb did NOT play well... at all. He was nervous, indecisive, and his deep throws were wildly inaccurate. HOWEVER, I have watched this game in its entirety twice now, and I also reviewed multiple pass plays by the Bears, and it would be ridiculous to blame the Offensive woes on Caleb. See, early on the Titans were getting pressure by rushing only 4 AMD they were coming right up the middle of the O-line! They DESTROYED the Center and Right Guard multiple time in the first 20 minutes of the game. I don't care who you are, that will have an effect on you as a QB. Caleb seemed to be rushing things after that. He knew he wouldn't have time to throw. Even on his rollouts and misdirection plays, there was almost always a Defender in his face. Also, you absolutely CANNOT do Play Action when you only run the ball 12 times! If the Bears Offensive Line doesn't play better, then this game against the Texans will be a blowout.

I don’t have confidence in them this week or really this year if the OL isn’t fixed. I stand by if they kept Fields and drafted well this year they would have been a much better team and likely in the playoffs but I feel this year will be a struggle just cause Williams isn’t use to being under that kind of pressure. Until he figures out how to run away like Fields did he will be stuck

I truly don’t think anything will get done until Raymond and Mo are signed. An upgrade at D is needed for the wings so if they can figure out how to do that while getting rid of some people that would work. I still think Husso will be traded at some point too

@@WingedCatsSports I agree, they probably won't do anything before signing Mo and Lucas. But I personally think that the Husso contract is untradable. I'd personally send him down for the year and get around 1.5m in cap relief. He can backup Cossa. Campbell has better career stats than Husso. He might also bounce back playing for the team he grew up cheering for

Someone will have to go, you got 4 goalies here, Campbell being the likely on sent down for a backup role if they end up keeping them all. You may have to eat some cap for Husso to be traded but it’s better than keeping it all

I have no worry on them being signed, it’s just strange to hear that Raymond isn’t close. I feel we will have it all done by training camp

I think he will likely get near 8 but with the mindset of he will get around 8 it still doesn’t leave much wiggle room for anything else to be done. Copp and Holl are both terrible contracts but at least Copp plays every night and isn’t sitting the bench like Holl does. But regardless the production is the same. Raymond looking at getting 8+ if it long term. Considering Byfield who just sighed a 5 year deal at 6.25 and hasn’t put up the numbers that Raymond has. So with that you could see Raymond in the 7+ if your bridging him but Yzerman did say he want long term.

I think the plan has always been around 8 for both hence why they planned to have 16 million available. If both end up wanted more then we start running into the issues of space which sucks

Goaltender I think is the most interesting think for the offseason and what there plans will be. Husso hasn’t been the most reliable option and I think they want to get someone who is better than Lyon. I would be content with what we had last year though if we went back with that

@@WingedCatsSports Yep, it's interesting that RW manages to burn out three goalies in a very short amount of time. Ned, Husso & Alex have all shown the same tendencies to be overused. S.Y has made it clear since last season that RW will use 3 players in this place. 3 Goalies will become the new norm that the NHL uses, we see several teams already doing this. I don't even think Gustavsson is realistic, probably more likely to see a new Reimer take his place. I'm fine with this as RW's future is in their pipe. It is not likely that Markstrom, Ullmark or similar big names land in RW. The only big name that can do that is Kane. So 4-6 UFA as new faces to fill the depth, which is slightly less than previous two years. Then someone from GR comes up and completes as RFA. I don't think Burger will stay, but more that his value will increase through his progress in the playoffs. Difficult puzzle to solve as we are close to reaching the cap ceiling for next year.

@billjohansson88 I think the biggest thing is the guys who have to play next year, that being Bergeron and Johanson. Those 2 will take the place of someone who is leaving or be traded, for what we will see but there is going to be some moves this offseason, I just don’t think any big ones. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see Cossa up at some point if they wanna see where he is at but it’s more likely he is staying in GR

@@WingedCatsSports Yea true. Burger will likely use the GR playoffs as a window into his own negotiations. The fact that he has already publicly turned down a contract is a negative for RW in their future negotiations. Johanson, he will be given time to make certain what he stands for. However, S.Y needs to get rid of someone/some and here Petry is best at hand in the form of a buyout. Would solve a lot and is cost effective and S.Y is already god in hockey town so not much that gone falls on his image. Everyone will admit and see it as a failure, although the owner chooses not to see it as such. Holl's contract cannot be moved and no one will take it if SY does not spice up such a deal very much. Here, Burger and Johanson are two chips to use, if S.Y believes that others in our pipe have a greater opportunity to achieve success in RW than these two. Johanson's advantage is that he is (L) and not uncommon (R) which RW lacks like many other teams. Would probably require a 3-party deal to solve a smooth solution to RW defense. Well, I agree with you about big moves, only Kane I see would be that. But here it's about the length and who he will play with. Kane is very talented and extremely gifted as a player and has certain requirements. Something tells me that S.Y has one too many bridges to resolve in a very short period of time here. On the positive side, by having settled insurance for Worlds, Raymond indicates that he knows where his future contract will be already. So I expect it to be made public soon, then we have to wait for Mo's and that's mostly because his agent is who he is (drama) lol.

Only way we grow is if we can somehow expand the cap space we got which means cuts and trades cause there isn’t enough room after Mo and Raymond get there extension. They will figure it out, will be interesting to see the team next year

I would agree we don’t really need to get older and I would mostly look at keeping the guys we had if we do but also only at the right price

I don’t think we will do anything big in the offseason and sign any big name guys. The team has good chemistry and depending on who you bring back should play pretty well next year

That is a fair point, would have rather seen him up over Maton. We will see what he is made of this year and how he helps the roster. Are lineup is stacked with outfielders and really don’t have a 3rd baseman. There is going to be a lot of rotating this year between Veirling, McKinstry and Ibanez
