Ho scoperto questo sublime Oratorio di Haendel il 31 luglio 2015 al Concertgebouw di Bruges. Di quest'aria che tocca corde profonde ho scritto "sentire questa Aria in un partecipe, religioso accorato silenzio"
Brava, Sonia. Love contraltos - Prina, Strutzman and Galou are those I have heard. Difficult choreography! Sonia smiles occasionally. She's clearly enjoying herself. There's a RU-vid video of her singing "Cara Sposa" in very unusual setting. Seems they forgot Rinaldo is set during the First Crusade.😂
Fabulous singing. Very emotive. I just learned of this fabulous contralto and wish that I'd discovered her sooner. What does that St. Andrew patch on her jacket mean? I love when the tempo changes suddenly within the same aria. Handel was a genius and Baroque is my favorite genre of opera but I also love Mozart.
Its’s clear that Marie here puts her heart and soul into her rendition of Handel’s music. She feels the melody and shapes her voice accordingly, it’s beautiful to see and wonderful to hear. A great performance with the superb support of the orchestra and conductor to make it possible.
