The gear generator tool does not make real involute profiles, just a circular approximateion. Export Tooth Shape provides a spline involute sketch for you to extrude and use.
no you didn't. Because you didn't even reply to the person asking the question. You just made a standalone comment, meaning that the original person who asked the question never got notified from you answering it.
I have the same experience with these contour rolled sheet metal videos ... That is essencially a cone and should be a curved items yes ... Same principle with a knuckle radius cone... Really want some one to do this the right way but i dont think inventor is capable of that.
