Can I set up midi clips in ableton that changes presets and modulates parameters? Or does it only work with midi controllers? I would like to trigger things automatically in my liveset by launching scenes. Thank you Edit: nvm, just discovered hypno4live 🙃 that should perfectly suit my needs
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong :( I've dowloaded OBS Midi MG in the 3.0.3 release and I have OBS 30.2.0 but when I use the installer & install it to the correct location it just refuses to show up in the tools section of my OBS. Been at it for about an hour and I just cannot figure out what's causing the issue. Any thoughts?
Thanks again for this update, I got the $50 Apple cable for hdmi output and that was great. I didn't have time to make presets yet, so it wasn't used yet live. But when I failed to be able to use it at a gig, I was wondering if maybe the default boot up patch can be set to a preset in this rev or a future rev, so it never boots in the mode where it's hard to dial anything in at first without remembering how. Not all users are going to know this ting as well as you, but I love where this software is heading. Was awesome to meet you recently! 🫶

Thanks! Happy to hear ur enjoying Hypno! Yes ofc there’s a lot of cameras on these mobile devices that desperately need to be glitched! Likewise for video files but there’s still a lot of tech/design work to be done for including that in the workflow.
Hypno's 3.5mm front panel jacks take in +-5v from a eurorack modular system to control the main panel controls. Unless you're using modular gear with these voltage outputs, you'd require some sort external module, like an envelope follower to take incoming audio and modulate Hypno's parameters.
Not sure what you mean by "the rest" but you can load stills and when mirrors are off the mirror mod knob can switch to a more text/info graphic friendly non mirroring repeat mode.
@@SleepyCircuits I don't think I understood what you wrote. I mean a graphic on top of animations, videos etc. Layering basically. I was thinking about VJing a club night and having the performer/DJs name be displayed on top of the animations. Or the possibility to mess with the type too. So layer graphics on top of animation/video.
Oh yea, you can have a still image on one shape layer, and then on the other, have an actual shape or oscillator wiggling over top and add feedback to both. or have one modulate the other!
I just got Hypno yesterday.. 🙂 I put a test on my channel. Anyway I experience around a 1 sec delay when using my Elgato usb capture. It's a shame, but lots of possibilities no doubt. Looking forward to test it with Soniface Lab outputs🙂
You can create some pretty cool text fxs/title footage with a webcam, hypno and something like Google slides. Cue up some text in google slides. Put the Hypno in camera mode. Point the camera at your screen. Start playing your slides whilst moving the camera around with your hand and record. Change some parameters on the hypno and rinse and repeat whilst recording the footage. You can get some really nice looking text fxs and motions. Nice video BTW
@@SleepyCircuits I did manage to get one, everything I use is HD so all the downscalers is a mess but I have double hypno's going with my old school and new school version.
this is exactly what i wanted to do when mezz was first announced! how many pages does mezz have? for example, i have a norns script for my 64 grid. each button on the grid loops a sample. if there were 8 pages of control on mezz i could map each encoder to 1 sample on the grid and by scrolling the mezz pages i could have a unique volume control for each button??
Would love to have one of those controllers someday! I love stuff like this and being in wheelchair helps to have wireless stuff that I can control with hands!
Help! I've tried to update my firmware multiple times and Balena Etcher keeps saying Flash Failed. On CM4 board and had to run Rpiboot to recognize it. Any ideas?
Please retry downloading and reflashing and if that doesn’t work write us at support@sleepycircuits.com and we can do some more granular troubleshooting there, also I’ve sometimes had Etcher give me an error while the flash was actually fine or upon the verification so flip that switch back off and check the splash screen on boot to see if it updated anyway

Wonderful! Can I play music on my iPad, feed it thru AUM (for example) and use it to modulate some parameters in VidOS while using Mezz to manually control others? With love, Ken
I cannot for the life of me get the Hypno to recognize the OP-Z. The OP-Z is connected from usb C to usb A on the Hypno and I set OP-Z tracks 14 & 16 to midi channel 16 but I get no note (preset) messages or CC's. Any ideas would be appreciated.
