I don't know...I remember the 90s very well and there was ALOT of the same stuff (aka's guns, money and I'm the best, eg.) being rapped about from the MCs, including Yo-Yo herself. Some of this just makes her sound old and a bit hypocritical.

He definitely did not say jim crow was good or golden for us. What I took away from his comment was that IN SPITE OF jim crow, Black families were intact at a high rate. And sounds like he referred to that time period because what followed was the time of the "no man in the house" rule which proved detrimental to the Black family. So what he's saying is that with all we've withstood in this country, it only took one generation of "the welfare state" ushered in by the "liberals Malcolm warned us about", to decimate what we were able to maintain IN THE FACE OF jim crow and everything else we have had to contend with. Joy insinuating that having intact Black families IS NOT important sounds CRAZY. Al choosing to ACT LIKE he was BIGGING UP jim crow is BANANAS and a mind game they're sent to play with people's emotions. I used to be people! Nope, not another day! Tuh, the kind of stuff Malcolm warned us about. We have PLENTY other and more pressing issues in the Black community that need your platform. Mental health, finance - residual income, passive income, generational wealth, becoming your own bank, life insurance, real estate, stocks, bonds, crypto, attending annual shareholders meetings and having your say, land management, farming and horticulture, shaping the culture, protecting the children and the women. Preparing the men. Skilled trades training. Creating training, opportunities and pathways to become medical experts/healers, Entrepreneurs, lawyers, technicians, financial experts. How laws are made. How Politics work. How banking works. The best foods to eat. How to end dependence on prescription medicine. The good, the bad and the ugly truth from all sides of the scope and let us decide. But nope 🤦🏾♀️🙃
Men don't want a woman who is quiet, just need to match the energy of the room. Some women just talk way too much about what they don't know and can't read the energy of the room. If a woman knows something about a topic then please engage the conversation. Many women can't exist in a room and not be center of attention, then they feel ignored or slighted. That's the underlying thread of a woman being quiet or not quiet.
It never ceases to amaze me how a young man that has yet to live can expound on what men want. Absolute rubbish. Nationally the US is crumbling all topics in and domains. If these two "men" can see how they sound. This is laughable at best and heartbreaking at the least. I am grateful my son's care well rounded. True gentleman that meet women where they are instead of where they want them to be. Its extremely disconcerting to see two men of color discussing what a man wants in a woman. First these two need to keep their eyes on God, through Christ Jesus. Start there.

Its giving mommy issues… its giving you’re still a child. That’s why as I’m raising my son, I’m making sure that I interact with him how all the women in his life should interact with him in the future. We have to understand that children are adults in training. He probably grew up with a mom who was always nagging him, yelling at him, telling him everything that he does wrong. But never encouraging, inspiring, motivating, uplifting, and speaking life into him. I really hope this is a lesson for our generation. A man who grew up with a mother who actually raised and parented him will not just want a woman to shut up, he will see the value in having a “life partner” with a personality and opinions. Please surround yourself with people that want to see you win. Men AND women
What an absolutely ignorant thing to say. Jim Crow allowed the legal murder of Black people with no one being charged. It allowed discrimination and violence. He could've said "back in the day" or whatever, but to specifically choose the Jim Crow era proves he's the worse kind of sellout.
