Bought my Scorpion Gold Stinger up in Fairbanks Alaska in the late 90s. Been a lot of fun and still works like the day I bought it. Thank you so much for this video because somewhere along the line I’ve lost the instructions. So this was a good reminder and a primer for taking it out and playing with it with my grandkids. I really do miss my Land Ranger pro. I sold it a while ago and I swear that Land Ranger pro was a coin Slayer hands down. I really want to get another one soon !!!
@@thgtmother3570 I have a smaller one I used to carry in my back pocket. Shaped like a square and about the size of wallet...gave me some extra confidence for sure.
Dang the sure is bright! Adjustability would be nice, but that crazy bright center light, im sure it to make your assailant blind! And that zapper sounds very serious! Great review as always Brother. You keep making videos and ill keep watching em. 🤟

Good demo, thanks. I was curious about how small it could go. Was hoping it could handle sesame seed sized gold which we have around here. Know of anything that will work that small?

Best review Ive seen on these. I just bought them for $25! I use Dolby Atmos on Xbox and PC for my headset. I think when using the Dolby app I should leave the fake 7.1 off I believe. You know anything about that?
Thanks. I would try it on and off to see which sounds best. In theory...you only want one surround option working at a time. Leaving it off if using Dolby is likely preferred.
I used to work for Fisher back in 1992 in Los Banos, CA when they were part of Cohu. I was in the shipping department. I probably touched 1000's of different detectors. I had a 1266-X and a Gold Bug. I may get back into the hobby.

The reason you have two buns for the pinpoint because if you hit the pinpoint button second time and third time it keeps making the object smaller so that you can distinguish it’s a large object or a small object and exactly where it is under the ground
By any chance have you run across a source of the 4in.ultra coil that you reviewed in an earlier video? I have contacted FTP and cannot get a straight repeatable answer from them about it depending on who answers you it either does not exist,or it is the same one that I already have(4coil)that I use on my pioneer ex which is almost twice as deep 7in.on a quarter.but on my QD pro 4in. I wouldn't have thought 1khz difference would have made a 75% reduction in depth .
