Hello FOA,, thanks After I bought this controller, but still not install it, because I'm confusing how it will fully charge the battery and I have load all the time? I think it will keep be keep in high volt of bulk charging, And this will damage the battery storage, So, please advise what is solution Thanks
Thank you for sharing two questions what does the negative number mean and regarding the AC one I'm assuming that's leg one on a load Center how do you configure that I have the SCP in all Snyder gear but I'm trying to learn how to read and use the SCP thank you for all your videos
I also like your Anderson connectors for the battery! I would like to do the same with our Absolyte GX Battery Bank when we are fully set up. Should we have a disconnect set up between the inverter and battery bank? Still trying to put everything together. We have the same Conext SW 4048 with a Midnite Classic 150 Charge Controller - I like the look of your set up much better - very clean look!
I also have the SCP on a 24-volt system thank you for sharing with us could you do a video of the install with your generator like physically for the wiring thank you
it really depends on your genset . but remember the AGS has dry relays and must be powered and use external relays as the AGS unit can only handle max 3 amps
I have the 20kw multiquip generator with the Autostart switch . Which will start via a transfer switch . Will the ags also work ? To start it or trigger the start
I purchased a full house solar system in Oct 2020 from a solar installer with many years of experience with this system. The electronics were all from Schneider Electrical and included two inverters and charge controllers and associated equipment. After two years the system began to experience numerous failures to included getting stuck in a loop, cycling the power on to the house several times before resetting on a number of occasions. The system also frequently shut down requiring me to reboot the system with error codes that made no sense such as fused relays. The system finally completely failed. Despite numerous service calls from the installer over the space of a year and many wasted hours they were unable to get the system to work and would not continue to support it. I replaced the system with a Solar Arc 15. I have made numerous attempts to reach out to Schnider to address this problem and cannot get an answer from their customer support center. The phone rings for an hour and just disconnects. The system is still under the five-year warranty. I went with Schneider equipment with the belief that this established company would be a safe bet, instead it has turned into a living nightmare. I want to return the system to Schneider for a full refund. Since I wrote this several days ago and mailed them a copy they remain nonresponsive.
Hey you still around here CBI solar guy? I got this unit on my boat powering a Xantrex 815-2012 Inv/Chgr, Free-SW 2000W. Its hooked up to 4 large 8D batteries in parallel. The unit is rated for 2000 watts. Ive put a 1600 watt load on it & somehow it brought the batteries down to 11.9 while the alternator is charging the batteries? The alternator can normally keep the batteries at 13.9v. However, when I went to check with a voltmeter all 4 batteries were saying they were at 12.34v...Is the unit reading the battery voltage wrong somehow?
@@williamclary140 the inverter has relays for AC input 1 and AC input 2 there is no need to have relay or turn Pv solar off if genset runs it can and will make power from sunshine and AC input at same time
@@williamclary140 Sorry i did not reply sooner , the solar can only have conection to the Mppt and than to batteries there is no way for solar to reach Genset, yes the solar and genset can run at same time there is no problem and no way for feed back , as long as you have genset feeding power into the input relay AC input of inverter Please see wiring in Schneider Manual
And every watt generated that enters the grid has to have a carbon fuel-based backup to run during the night so what has been saved? not one dollar - the same carbon-based generators are needed at night and the solar panels were bought from the Chinese - making them rich which means the electric cost went up and the consumer is paying for this folly total insanity
Night-time energy consumption is significantly lower than day-time, so solar farms can actually make a pretty big dent in carbon emissions. It's a big part of the reason why energy-hungry factories often run night shifts, rather than in the day when grid demand is much higher and electricity is more expensive. Besides that, there is space in solar farms to accommodate battery packs to store excess energy to be used later (even at night). It's bizarre to me that some people are so afraid of solar, there's no downside to decreasing our emissions and air pollution and it's creating loads of jobs in Alberta right now as companies around the world rush to cash in on a huge opportunity to mostly passively generate electricity.
@@yyc357 Solar costs a fortune compared to Natural Gas - sun only shines 1/2 the day so double the panels is needed with 1/2 charging super expensive Lithium batteries that ONLY provide backup power for a few hours then they are dead.
My 4048 resets whenever it runs a load over 2,000 watts. The cooling fan kicks on after 10 minutes, but it causes the system to shut off for a couple seconds, which cause all my electrical appliances to turn off, and then turn on after about 5 seconds.
Great Video; I need a bit advice myself: Expanded my Pylontech to 6x 2.4 over 4 years now with Luxpower inverter. Master battery shows alarm red light. I moved them around to eliminate faulty unit, but they seem be fine-it's the communication between Lux and Pylon, I believe. Do you know, if newest unit (with latest software) shall be the Master? Do we need to fiddle with micro Dip switches? Is there any setting within Luxpower unit? Thanks- no one seems to know....
As I said before , I have 8 12v 200 ah batteries. I only want to fill go 95% as its full charge (56.8v). How do I set that up on my Context sx Schneider 4048 inverter? I also don't want it to go below 52.6 which would roughly be a 50%. How to I set this up. Go easy on me I am truly a rookie in this. Thanks
Two questions. How is the Batt capacity determined? I have 8 12 v 200 AH Lithium batteries which will replace 8 12 v 200 Ah gel batteries. Whta is the voltage on this context 4048 , is it 24 or 48 volts?
1st question Battery Amp hour is battery is 200Ahr times voltage of the string or system so 200ahr times bat voltage of 48 volts is 9600 watts or 9.6kwh Or another way is 200 amphour at 48 volts.
I aready buy and connected Schneider 4048 but output voltage is too high is marking 257VAC instead of 240VAC */- and individual is marking 128.69 instead of 120VAC */-.
You need a two pole 50 amp breaker that ties into the inverter well if you need a Schneider AGS controller and yes there are special settings for it there's exercise time runtime voltage high voltage low crank time for the generator limit output for generator if you don't use that you'll roast a generator and a GS controller will tie into the Generac start circuit diesel generator glow plug delay hand crank using the remote software package is in it where you at lot easier to go figure out all of this runs on their canbus
Hi...I have 2 mppt Schneider with a 6848 pro, both with 9 PV 330W ...they are configured primary and slave, but I have noticed that they do not both produce the same...the primary is always lower in production that the slave....do you know what my problem is?...thanks
Fitted 3 of these on a 5kw Solis hybrid inverter with 4kw of solar panels. Simple to setup, works great, powers the house all day when little or no solar. Only question i have "Does it matter what way the batteries are placed" Obviously you need you to leave space round them for cooling, I have them in my utility room as it gets bloody hot in the loft summer time, and i wanted the inverter somewhere it was easy to program.
@@divisadero8859 That's a simple one, Yes, each battery comes with a short BMS connector and two short battery leads to connect to the next battery if you have one. Obviously your inverter has to be compatible and you will need to buy longer BMS and power cables. Only thing to bare in mind is with one battery the recommended max output is about 1700w while with two you double it and so on.
@@williamcox1176 Thanks for the info. I won't get to completing my FVE before winter, so I hope there wont be too big price rise on batteries till then.
@@camosolarinc7697 thanks for clarifying that for me. Is there a guide on how to use the LAN to set up the warm up? I have the conext sw 4042 inverter. I cant find anything in the install or user guide and dont want to damage my diesel genset by having a load on start. Its -40 celisus here and even though i got the block heater pluged in it cant be good on the genset to not get a warm up.
I am getting a LOW VOLTAGE WARNING . I have 8 RENOGY 12v 200 ah gel batteries which I checked and are better that ok. I got AN OUTBACK FLEX 80. When I turn off the inverter the voltage come back up, but if it ON BUT STILL NOT USED voltage goes down. Can anyone please help_
yes I have to a Kubota lowboy but there is a few different units. but remember that the Conext AGS has dry contacts and will burn up with more than 3 amps so use relays,
I have got a Scneider 4048 inverter, An Outback flex 80 and 8 12 v 200 AH Renogy gel batteries. I have checked the batteries and they are Ok. I have my OUTBACK flex at 60 . Something is strande my batterie volts drop )not used= from 54 v to 49 at a heart beat. Is there something I have to adjust at my inverter?
@@earthenergyhex Well i need to Reply kinda carefully because the SW inverter has a few problems and that is the AC support Load Shave and SOC this you can learn on your own but if you live off grid i set them all to DISABLED .
Hi there, our site is currently under construction, please contact us at sales@cbisolar.com and we would be happy to help you from there! Thank you and happy camping!
Where do you connect your generator feed wire to the system? As well my generator is a Generac 13kw is there any special settings that need to be set? Thanks
Do you find that the net battery current in 'system status' is inaccurate on the SCP? I've been trying to troubleshoot why mine jumps around and can't seem to find a cause. I can't know if there's a specific reason in your setup, but what I get is similar to what happens at 0:18 and 0:38s even though an actual meter shows no such "jumps."
Hello Steve G yes you are right that the batt amps is jumping around at a lower refresh rate than the watts , the watts refresh rate is much faster , now my system has a lot going on and with two xw6848 inverters and two mppt 60-150 things are happening all very fast . now since that vid i have added two more s mppt to the system .. so to answer your question there is many things happening and the refresh rate cant keep up , now i also know that if its not a problem dont worry, and i also know that the CT in the system is not all perfect at low numbers , hope this helps
