Beijing Guitar Duo gave its New York debut at Carnegie Hall in 2010 and has since performed throughout Europe, Asia, and North America in such venues as Concertgebouw, the Grand Hall at the Moscow Conservatory, Palau de la Música, 92nd Street Y, and Spivey Hall. The guitarists’ wide repertoire ranges from Renaissance to contemporary music; and their first CD, Maracaipe, received a Latin Grammy nomination for the title piece. Their latest disc, China West, a collaboration with Manuel Barrueco, was released in May 2014. The duo has been a San Francisco Performances resident artist since 2011.
Me gusta mucho la clásica, la guitarra española en orquesta es una maravilla y aquí escuchamos un dialogo entre guitarra y orquesta, sentimientos. Aqui se respeta la obra del autor, dis sentimientos, ella, la guitarra tespeta esa ofrenda sin querer ser protagonista absoluto. Bien... Excelente. Me gusta sin tener que decir algo que está claro, sabe lo que hace y lo hace muyyyy bien. Me gusta sobretodo por no querer introducir nada mas de lo que toca, no va a relucir pero se hace escuchar de una manera sublime y natural. Por mi es un perfecto.
