I know it’s been 12 years so excuse my tardiness in asking(!) Do you have any more footage of this beauty? I can’t stop watching and listening to the music❤👌🏼🎵🎵🎵🎵
Did you see him cutting the steering wheel AFTER he took his foot of the front brakes to get it to slide? A 1970 Datsun 4 cylinder pickup will smoke the back tires if the front brakes are held on...what the hell does THAT prove....NOTHING. Someone holding the brakes on a car is just STUPID....it means NOTHING.
Another brake dragger. I had a 1970 buick GS 455 stage 1 for a short while in the late 70's. With that legendary Buick torque, I could just mash the gas at a standing start and smoke the tires all the way thru high gear, never had to drag a brake.
Absolutely awesome, I found an original Gs 455 for my dad to buy, around 30 Yrs ago. For roughly $3500 bucks. It’s green with a black Vinyl Top. As bought. But went from , roughly14-15 secs. In the qtr down to Loww. 9’s. And this was naturally aspirated In the mid 90’s. If you want to see it pop a wheelie at full weight on l, only 10.5s. Google it. Bowling green. Hot rod nationals.
Reminds me of smoking fox body 91-93 mustangs in my moms , 1971, white pearl interior. Lime mist green. Conv. GS, 350 show car . In bowling geeen Kentucky she was Heavy but, fresh rebuild, Hemi killer cam, headers, etc. Them 5.0’s didn’t know what hit em!! And when they were stupid enough to Line up against a turbo regal/ GN! 😂😂👋🏻👋🏻
Had a 70 Skylark Custom, 350 2bbl, one wheel wonder in HS. Early 70's. 25yr later at a reunion 4 friends asked if I remembered how long the burnout was that we paced off one Saturday night. 😂 312 ft 🎉
Someone said I don't like Buick and that's not true. They made a lot of good cars in the 60s and 70s and I like a 3800 series 1-3 just fine. I just didn't like them as well as Pontiac and Olds. 1973 LeSabre versus a 73 Impala I'd pick the LeSabre. But between late model Chevy and Buick I'd pick Chevy although I'd be very careful what I picked from either one... just depends on when you're planning on trading for another 5 years of payments. I don't think we've really made good cars since the 90s in some cases but since the 80s in most cases. And when I mean good I mean easily expecting 250,000 miles prior to major spending for 4 years of capital. $13-15,000. Now, for that much money expect a lot of expensive stuff to go wrong. For $25,000 expect a lot of expensive stuff to go wrong by less than 200,000. There's no winning except your ego on the newer stuff. I started stopping putting an ego value on cars in 2000 and I should have found a 4 color heap for $650 long ago. And don't you worry I'd never be tempted to go to that gathering of pagans again. I've been told not to drive a certain car because I couldn't get a date with that blah blah blah...no I probably couldn't get a diva with poor self-image to go but why would I want to put myself through that again???
Hi people in the past. This is precisely what I was told I would be watching. Perfect, beware of the click bait, videos, in the future. Anyone else here in 2023?
In 1986 we had a 1971 442 that did the longest burnouts...no brake stands...from a stop, no brakes, just punch it and it would lay posi for probably 60, 70, 80 foot estimating.
