Just stumbled upon this video. It has been two years since it was published and yet Rachel just recently mentioned these few days spent filming. It really made an impression. I am curious who all the people are at 1:30. (just tourists, extras, part of the crew, hired actors?) Interesting how it "profiles" a solo female tourist. All of it was well paced and natural looking.
This is so cool and so beautifully done. I hope you will share some of the locations as I want to visit them. I was actually in Kurashiki when you filmed part of this, as I happened to notice you filming Rachel (who I recognized from her blog series). My friend and I are in one of the boats that your drone flew by. (You can see me and my friend at 0:07 at the back of the boat. She is in yellow and I have a black backpack on.) Would absolutely love to get any other footage you took of us in the boat if you still have it/are able to share.
+Rachel & Jun - Loved the shot of Rachel walking away from the temple with the umbrella. Reminder me of a Japanese print by Hokusai or Hiroshige. Great video. All I have to do is get to Japan.
Oh I would so much love this experience! Specially to take lots of photo's! This one rural village looks so wonderful to visit! Unfortunately I can not due to financial reasons nor do I own a passport currently, else I would take the first reasonable flight and visit this amazing village!
I would have never guessed kurashiki was this cool! I live 2 stops away from kurashiki and I went to Fukuyama alot to go shopping. Do you have any videos on Kurashiki Language Academy? I would love to travel to Kurashiki every day for classes and stay with my host family! Kurashiki is beautiful!
