Nice rendition. BTW you can use ireal pro freely as a backing track for any purpose as long as you include attribution, in case you're having issues with copyright restrictions.
Hi Dear Kobi: Thank you for your video demonstration. I just bought a 9th generation iPad (iOS ver. 16); and installed SWAM Solo Trumpet (iOS Ver.) on it. I already connected my AE-10 and iPad with USB cable through Apple lightening toUSB3 adapter. But I don't know how to connect my audio amplifier and iPad. Could you tell me how to do it ? Thank you.
I use a USB audio interface to connect iPad to amp. I use Zoom u-44 device, but any iPad compatible audio interface would work. You also need a USB hub to connect eh AE-10 and audio interface simultaneously
HI! Very nice playing. But I have a question : could you make a video explaining your setting, because it seems that you have the same problem as me with the vibrato setting….I have the same set and I’d like to have the vibrato activated with my mouth, but I cannot do it and I have to disable the vibrato, just like you….Thanks if you can help.
The setup is that growl is mapped to top joystick controller of AE10. Vibrato depth is mapped to bottom joystick controller, but I use it only for more extreme vibrato like in 5:16. Vibrato rate is mapped to breath sensor (CC2) so when I use top joystick to open vibrato, the speed of vibrato is controlled by breath. I control pitch down with the lip sensor and do some flute type breathing vibrato when I want gentle and subtle shake. I did create velocity curves for all controllers above to fit my taste and playing style. If I mapped the vibrato depth to lip sensor, I wouldn't be able to control pitch without activating vibrato. If it is mapped to breath, then I would have vibrato all the time, which is not what I wanted. Hope that answer your questions :)
It is actually played on a Yamaha WX5 wind controller with Sample Modeling SWAM Tenor saxophone mixed with Aebersold backing track. I used Reaper for mixing.
