Once the 2024 models come out next year I’m so torn between the Springfield Dark Horse and the Roadmaster Dark Horse. I love the stripped down look of the Springfield, but the Roadmaster would be so great for long rides. We will see….
I've owned a Super Blackbird, a K1200R, a S1000R, a R1250GS, and many others prior, and ridden 100s, including H-D and Indian....and I'd rather be on my R18 Classic, for life. It's a retro cruiser. Full stop.
I took the canam ryker course here in Arizona, and it was more fun than a barrel of monkeys, and I can recommend it to anyone that wants a thrill; we had die-hard Harley Davidson riders who took the course and they left impressed.
I bought a 2020, 13,500, added the tour package and a Stage 1, got more than your offering for much less, but worth every penny, now just gotta wait till Spring!
@@scooterlarry9919 Not in this case. Respect the badge. Most of the time if you give them a little respect, they'll respond in a kinder fashion than if you're being a jerk.
When they respect their badge, oath, and position correctly, then I'll give them respect their due. Most have an authority complex with unresolved issues. They tend to take out their frustrations on those they deal with on the job. The public is looked at and dealt with as an enemy. That is how they are e trained. I know and fully understand the inner workings. They have become the standing army that our forefathers warned us about. The rest of them are simply complacent to the wrongdoings and illegal activities of their comrades. In this case, complacency IS guilt. It violates their oath, and they don't stand up. An honorable man would honor his oath, no matter the circumstances.
Seems like you were getting rattled around on the freeway. Or was that just your camera. When I test rode one I noticed the screen was shaking over bumps.
Logged 700 miles on my R18 Classic to date, about 7 weeks. Love this bike. This is an excellent cruiser. Torque to pull tree stumps. I traded a 2020 BMW R 1250 HP on this bike. My inseam is 32 inch. May take it on a long trip one day. This is my 51st bike in 15 years. Many new Harleys. This bike has character that Harley can't touch.
330 lbs is for the 600cc model. The 900 Rally can deal with more. I always use information gained from the dealer by asking questions before doing the video.
Awesome video ;;; do not no the state :::: but love the video a beautiful area it looks like you can ride in with out a lot of heavy traffic love riding my bike in norther Michigan & the thumb of Michigan too ;; I been on the fence of getting f3 spider or a Ryker
This video was recorded in Middletown, OH. It's just outside of Cincinnati. Most of my videos are in the Louisville, KY area or just across the river in Indiana. I am actually originally from Michigan. I grew up in Flint, and I also lived in the thumb for a couple years. I also lived up near the bridge for a bit, and west of GR near Lake Michigan for a while.
@@scooterlarry9919 that is awesome I grew up around bellaire,, Mancelona traverse City Michigan Alden ,rapid city,, Kalkaska ,, live in Grand Rapids know
I actually sold it a few weeks ago. Stay tuned for details. I'm trying to get a new video out, but I'm experiencing technical difficulties. I'll get it worked out soon.
Have you ever heard the old Honda Valkyrie? Those bikes are cult classics and they build some ferocious monsters out of them...turbos, superchargers and such. They sound incredible.
Hi scooter Larry, I am a 50+ woman who rides a Harley but I have a bad back and RA so I have to sale. 😞I am considering the Ryker for the ease 🤔of riding. Would you take that bike 🏍on a longer ride? TY for sharing.
The Ryker doesn't really have any support for back issues. Maybe try a smaller bike with a rider backrest. A rider backrest can make all the difference in the world. Maybe try one on your bike first.
Got my 900ACE (Ripley) on the 6th of June 2019, and she is the most fun machine I’ve ever owned. She’s as good as gold on nice, easy going rydes. But when you get the urge, she’s a little hooligan! 👌🏻🙏🏻😎🏴
For all the haters I just picked mine up and love it. It’s a cruiser not a sport bike. The sound and the torque is amazing. I’m looking forward to a better looking exhaust, maybe Vance and Hines.
If you look close you can see a strip of tar going across the intersection. The rear tire slipped while going over it, because I was turning while rolling over it.
17 grand for that??! I started with a mint condition Dyna, less than 2,000 miles on it. I did a stage 2, upgraded suspension front and and rear with fork preload, full exhaust, custom seat, big brake upgrade, braided brake lines, tachometer and temp gauge, backrest, handlebars, REAL lettered tires, Memphis Shades fairing and steering stabilizer with a grand total of 10 grand invested. That bike looks like it has nothing on it except pasted-on tire letters, a tank that looks like it came off of Yamaha Virago, and the exhaust still looks stock. This is why used bike sales are running circles around new bike sales.
If you don't mind me asking, what did you think about the 16" bars and how tall are you? I am debating whether to get it or not. It's not like I can try it out and decide :-).
I loved the bars on this. They aren't 16s. I believe they are either 12s or 14s. This was the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden. If you get one, I recommend a stage one kit, quick disconnect windshield, and the quick disconnect sissy bar with pad.
The muted color actually works well with the blacked out motor. You have to see it close up. I normally don't like red on anything, but I kinda like this.
