It's not meant to be like field calling man...its more about the control and consistency on the worlds stage. That guy obviously has won there and the champion of champions. I can assure you whether on the big stage or in the field...neither you or I have a chance in hell of calling as good as him.
I know this is a old comment, but it’s my about the limits of the caller and the call itself, so making sure reed doesn’t break over and the ability to consistently blow the same amount of air into a call to make that consistent noise
No matter what people may say about a duck doing this or not…… (“and yes they do!”) you are looking at the Best caller alive to this date! And not because of this win but his knowledge in the call making industry. He was fortunate as a young man to sit under some of the best before his time and learn a lot. And just a tid bit of my opinion because like John I too have had the privilege of being around the men of old being from Arkansas that taught me a lot about calling, and working ducks, here’s what my bit is,, “ People say I have never heard a duck do this in the woods” and I believe them because now a day no one has the time to spend in the woods and just observe, some say this cause they can’t do it, and some say this because they have had their feelings hurt trying to do so! I can go on and on about this topic and if you want to hear more have me on a pod cast and I’ll fill your ears. We boys from Arkansas eat sleep and eat again duck hunting and it’s not a seasonal thing for us, hence why we compete on stage in the off season.
I saw one that was similar was it was at 8 pm totally dark. To the eastern view from central texas. Long and EXTREMELY bright. We thought a plane was going down.
This is my first time to your channel. Are there public cameras that are capturing these? Or are your videos from a private setup? Thanks for sharing either way, and I have now subscribed to your channel!
Thank you! We and many others have set up cams to capture meteors in the hope of finding any that may have survived. NASA has cams in some locations that record falls also. Here are some links for more information www.fireballsteve.com/ www.amsmeteors.org/ If you like the outdoors check out our site www.lostintheozarks.com also on Facebook
There were daytime booms that day which may have been a meteor. I uploaded this so some friends with better eyesight could look. Then forgot to delete it lol
No, notice the speed compared to the ISS, the fragmentation from the meteor, and the fact it is traveling East to West. The ISS pass last night was NW to SSE.
We saw this ball of fire explode over Northern Arkansas last Friday night as we drove to our cabin! It was a white ball of fire with a green sparkling tail that exploded in a flash of brilliance!!! We could feel the energy from it as it flew over us!!! It was AMAZING!!!!
Me too! The flash cought my attention it was massively bright almost looked like the sun then turned into a long red and orange streak. Was around like 7:30pm ish right?
My fiance and I saw it too. We're in central Missouri. It was really pretty and green. I almost didn't believe it myself til I saw this video posted up.
I saw this near West Plains MO at 7:20 local time. It was so bright I first thought it was lightning, then I thought a transformer had exploded. Then I saw the glowing fragments after it broke apart.
At about 10:20pm last night* I've spent a long time looking up and have at least seen a good thousand so far in my life, but none of them came close to this one. Fingers crossed on someone having it on video, you can't miss it.
I catch Fireballs (bright meteors) within a few hundred miles of each of my webcams. You can check the amsmeteors.org site to see if anyone else reported something.
I bought an old wood burning stove specifically to be used outdoors as a cooking option if the grid goes down. We get pretty snowy winters here in Idaho. Do you have any pointers or tips on how to best protect the stove from the elements when not in use? Thank you.
