Hello! Recently used the laney loudpedal. Asking if I'm using it correctly in my effects chain. Here is my chain. Guitar input - Wah - Boss ns 1 Send of ns 1 - comp - ds1x - od3 - input of ironheart Output of ns1 - Zoom G6 (Amp sim, modulations, delay, reverbs) - Return of ironheart Return of boss ns1 - Ironheart send/lineout DI output of Ironheart into direct mix
“Kemper, the models just aren’t there, we’ve moved on, it’s getting old”. I’m not a Kemper fanboy, but what are you on about? First, it’s not a modeler! Second, it’s been updated regularly (for free) for over 13 years now, so how is this “old”? Third, if the profiles (or models as you like to call them) aren’t there, it’s probably because you haven’t profiled correctly. There are profiles out there that are as good as anything that comes out of a ToneX, QC,Helix or whatever. Maybe the formfactor is old, but the techniks and software are on par with anything out there. Don’t spend too much time on Gearsluts with the “we need Kemper 2” crybabies.
@@frankgerrits mate totally value your opinion, I used Kemper for 2 year and it gave me nothing but headaches, midi just disconnecting, effects not loading properly on patch changes and the unit just turning off mid set so I’ve had my issues, it’s like anything man you can get a great time out of anything if you know how to dial it in, these are just my interpretations of current talking points. Enjoy your tones no matter where they come from.
8 years later and I find this exact guitar 2nd hand a long way over my budget. I have put in an offer 75 % of the offer which is my max - fingers crossed while I wait for the response... and my heart slowly sink.
@PaulGlover glad you got your arm sorted out and congratulations on the lil one,gi got 2 girls Pagan is 17 and pixi is 15, the best years of my life but they get more expensive the oldthey get 🤣
I have a Ibanez roadster rs 300 tv in translucent red that plays amazing but the brass nut does make a difference! I think your guitar is a really cool ax!!
@@robertbrowerjr554 thanks man, I do love the old Ibanez plates amazing, just debating to swop out the pick ups and give her some TLC or leave her standard? Your guitar sounds awesome 🙌
@@PaulGlover upgrade and enjoy it more and you can keep all the original parts if you want it stock again! but when a guitar feels good make it your go too ax!!
Hi Paul, I was working sound for you guys at Molly's in Birkenhead the other night, have to say the QC sounded absolutely amazing! Worked really well with the other guitarist rig, lots of definition between both set-ups! Great show! 🤘
How is it? Can u tune it down to drop c or drop b without any fret buzz? With thicker gauge strings, of course lol I’m actually considering it even tho there’s no SS frets If I can get it to drop c without ANY fret buzz when clean since some of my verses are clean. Most of my courses are really heavy then I will just buy a digital drop pedal to get it down to drop A # which is what I usually like to fly in along with drop C
@@cameronmurrell8161 here you go buddy this is a uk based store I think? www.musicstore.com/en_GB/GBP/Temple-Audio-Design-DUO-17-Temple-Red/art-GIT0035988-000
My GF just bought me one of these and it's a case queen. Not one scratch on it. I've owned several Ibanez guitars over the years. This is my 4th Prestige and so far the best looking one I've ever played. Thanks for the review.
@@PaulGlover every tone I heard on this was thick with clarity....and whatever cabs or irs the amp was shot with on tone x was hitting the delay and verb perfectly...huge wall of sound. I'm going to try the tone x this way this week after seeing this 👍🏻💯🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
*I love this demo. BTW… I use a Laney BCC Iommi pedal usually. Would this work in the front of this pedal? 🏆🎵 Also, I believe I can use my Pro Co Rat pedal in front of it if I’m using the clean pedal. Have you ever added a pedal to the front to make it more powerful?*
@@DielectricFailure hell yeah you can man, the BCC pedals all take this pedal to the next level, I use a steel park as a boost for all my amp and it’s a killer!!!!
@@PaulGlover Does it get close to the Marshall Valvestate tones? I’m looking to make tones like NIN or Fear Factory but possibly using the clean channel and put a distortion pedal there like the Revv 3 or Pro Co Rat.
Somehow i missed this review. I just got this RG. Being a RG guy like yourself...and I had a Pia earlier this year....these in every configuration are stellar. The neck through really shows . Awesome 👍🏻 playing as always 😎👊🏻💯 brother! 🔥🔥🔥
I Wii say the tone x is incredible in any loop of any modeler.....i will also say whats even better is the Friedman IRX in the loop. Real tubes. The built in IRS are incredible. String separation feels and sounds exactly like a BE 100 ...good to see you Paul your tones sound massive i want to try this myself 💯
Great vid. Boss pedals give great tone and I really like the simplicity of each. Once you have a few together the variations are endless. I have two boards, all Boss. Main board is CP1x Compressor, SD1w Super OverDrive, BD2w Blues Driver, TR2 Tremolo, DD8 Delay, GE7 Graphic Equaliser, RV6 Reverb, all going into a Jazz Chorus. Small board going into a Boss Nextone amp is TU3 Tuner, BP1w Preamp/Booster, DC2w Dimension C, DM2w Delay and FS7 FootSwitch to change from clean to gain amp channels. So much pedal fun! Thanks Paul for lots of great Boss content, fab playing too
After 8 years mine is still perfect. I pleked it to get rid of some fretbuzz maybe 8 months after buying it. The only downside is the lack of intonation screws, but there is a device to buy for easier intonation. It took me one hour to intonate it. But it seems to hold the intonation now in summer. I did it during winter.
Gigged with it for 10 years . Great amp . What people often overlook is that if you want a classic Marshall tone you need to crank the mids on the TSL. It is a bit scooped in the mids . This is right in the manual . I love my TSL 60
Can confirm an hx stomp will fit in the top pocket. I have a 30inch squier bass vi (short scale bass reference) and won’t fit even without the extra padding thing unfortunately… (I have the single guitar bag version but I suppose the dimensions are the same length-wise) Thanks for the vid!
Thanks man, appreciate the input, the one I pick will be my guitar for years to come and I just can't choose, they both seem incredible! At least no wrong answers here.

@@feedthewolf6930 dude I’ve got 10s on in drop C and I digi drop to B and this thing is perfect the bridge keeps the string tension no worries, if you throw 11s on there it would be spot on, plus my action is super super low.
I know I'm late to the party but I was searching this topic as I am considering making the swap to EL34 in my Ironheart. I like the EL34. Did you do a proper bias or just flip the switch?
*At **7:34**, was that the built-in IR for the DI out? That sounds like the guitar sound I’m looking for regarding recording. 🎵🏆 Thanks for making this video. I’m pretty sure you said “Straight into the DAW” but not sure. Thanks again!*
