Эх, молодость... Но странно то, что ребята и сейчас актуальны. В свое время я ими заслушивался, потому как "My dying bride" соизволили скурвиться по полной программе.
Yeah they are a massize problem those growls. Magdalena's voice is so fantastic and the raspy grunt and grind are so naff. Its responsible for the miserable number of hits in 9 years. Shame as she deserves to be much better known. Siiigh.

I think they ment to like it that she is an Angel and he is the Demon and they sing together. And the Demon dont sing high as like Pavarotti. I think. So, look on it that way is more epic for me. What allready is. I love that band. 🤘
@@RebellionZoneMetal I agree. I recognize neither Tarja Turunen's nor Anette Olzon's nor Floor Jansen' vocal style, nor would Tuomas Holopainen compose such dissonances rather typical of (Symphonic) Black Metal. Finally, the male vocalist of Tears of Magdalena doesn't resemble Marco Hietala's vocal style at all.
Growls together with soprano is the Beauty and Beast combo, which reflects the extreme of masculinity and femininity of humanity. It is like a single moderate alto or tenor voice split into two extreme components and every song is a male-female relationship.
