This could be Berlin or Washington. One side blasting another for the sheer fear of being overruled. What is the justification for war? National Security? If so then how can that concept be blessed with religion? From whom do we take the authority to kill? The Priests, the Mullahs, the Rabbis, the mob in the street? We are just a few steps away from being those we denounce. What did Paul Newman say in that old Prison Movie, Cool Hand Luke? "What we got here is failure to communicate", as he was shot by the police through the chapel window. That was suppose to be somewhere in the 1960's American South. But it could be anywhere. What suffering we promote, we justify in the name of (God) or King or Country or the sanctity of Culture. But that wasn't the message. We were told to, "Don't kill.". Perhaps we can end human suffering, by ending our own suffering? We have so little time in this life and we are fearful and angry and greedy instead of being happy for this moment in this human form. What a marvelous creation, this human being we are born into. We could have been born into anything. We were given the chance to experience life. Perform 10 acts of kindness is your punishment.
