Unfortunately I don’t know that area! But when I was looking I just read a lot of reviews and tried to pick something on the less expensive side because I knew I would have to teach myself a lot. Since they don’t usually go over things like Gelx, nail art etc. 💕

The one we used in school was Milady Standard Nail Technology. I liked it. I feel like it taught me a lot and it was easy to read! That’s the only book we used so that’s the only one I can suggest! 🤗
I would say I’m naturally creative! I’ve grown up doing lots of different crafts (besides nail art my fav is crocheting). I’ve always been able to draw but not super well (my twin can draw super well). So it’s funny cause I can draw wayyyyyyy better on a nail then a piece of paper and that’s purely from just practice! So I think anyone willing to put in the time and practice can grown their nail art skills! 🤗

No, honestly nail school doesn't really teach you much especially about nail art. We did most of our learning by ourselves (Taking notes from the book then taking quizzes). I learned more about actually doing nails on clients from my classmates (some of them were already nail techs, they just needed the license). I would not recommend spending a lot of money on a nail school. Your really there to just get the hours. But take advantage of all that time you have to sit in the classroom and teach yourself not only the book content but everything else you want to get better art; nail art, acrylic application, gelx application etc. And DON'T SKIP CLASS it can get VERY boring and some days you will want to stay home but just go, make friends and get through it! the faster the better!
So basically what we did was, they gave us the book (and supplies that were very low quality and barley useable 😅) and we would read each chapter (I would suggest taking notes) then we would ask the teacher for the chapter quiz and if you passed you would move on to the next chapter and so on. As I'm sure that sounds boring... IT IS. But you will get through it. Just make it fun by making your notes cute or studying with ur classmates (who will eventually become ur friends) and you will be fine. Sometimes the teacher would like stand up and teach but that was mostly just the beginning chapters and sometimes we would do pedicures or manicures on each other as well but mostly we would use fake hands we brought to class t o practice on!
I haven't tried Nailz by Dev's newer brushes (I have only used the light pink wooden handled ones) But I did like those brushes when I used them (Not necessarily the actually wooden handle because it got dirty really easy, but I'm sure that's part of the reason she now has the new plastic brushes, which I'm sure are great!). Currently I'm using all Ballpit brushes, I like these brushes because they are really thin, easy to use, easy to keep clean and they are double sided (my favorite part) the clean up/blender side is really helpful so you don't have to have multiple brushes out, if you don't want! I am a brand ambassador for the Ballpit brand so I've been able to try all the different lengths and appreciate the variety!
