On a long journey of health…from standard American diet, to vegetarian, to vegan, to keto. Then, to carnivore. At seven months into a carnivore way of life I decided it was time for me to share how great I was/am feeling…how I have healed myself from the inside out…how I lost 45 pounds at the age of 46. Follow my channel for details of why I chose a carnivorous lifestyle over all others. I will share how I finally found food freedom! Knowledge is true power!

“Ignorance is not bliss, it is certain death”

“Yes, yes it is actually that easy. You just decide to do it. Then, you do it!”

#carnivore
From vegan to carnivore….

fruit is a sugar packed lure to tempt you into eating it. Fruit was quite rare for our ancestors. I still have to add some chia seeds to my ribeye diet in order to keep my digestion happy.

Hello, please can you give me an example about 75% fat and 25% protein? I'm a carnivore and I don't understand how to eat so much fat, can you give me an example? Thank you
@FoodDidThis
@FoodDidThis 4 месяца назад
An example would be ground beef. You can buy 80/20. Do you use a macros tracker? I find those very helpful especially for making sure I get enough fat and protein. Of course, they are not exact, but helpful to me.

@@FoodDidThis Grazie, I have to say that eliminating carbohydrate of any form has meant that the body has had a fantastic overall improvement, yes I also eat ground beef but here it is more difficult to find pieces of beef with fat, tallow is thrown away because, as everywhere, false information exists.

I had a similar experience. When I started on the carnivore diet, I filled a large freezer with pork roasts. I never really knew what people meant when they talked of "sour stomach," but now I do. It was not heartburn, yet there was something unpleasant going on just below the esophagus. Then came a couple of times that I thought I would have to go the the emergency room due to stools that I simply could not pass. Both times I had to submerge myself in a hot bath, but the entire adventure was pretty disgusting. My taste buds love pork, but the rest of my body did not. I switched to beef. My taste buds are sad, but everything else seems happier.
@FoodDidThis
@FoodDidThis 4 месяца назад
Yes!!!! The almost heartburn feeling was real prevalent!! So much stomach acid accompanied the pork! I have had others share the same “feeling” in their tummy’s!

Putting any liquid into the blender first usually helps prevent the clogged issue. So eggs and water first, then the dry ingredients. Never tried to blend hamburger before though, but it might make it easier. Glad this works for your partner - it can be frustrating when everyone else seems to enjoy something and you don't. Thanks for the video!

In fact eating a proper human diet is the very very best thing you can do ladies! Try not to focus so much on what the weight scale says, but rather body recomposition.. and that means the loss of unwanted body fat. The weight will adjust accordingly as your progress through. WALK WALK WALK as much as you can! Walking is a great way to start. And add a little weight resistance training along the way.. IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH TO GET STARTED AND YOU WILL NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE! Measure your waist..at the start and keep a record every week to 10 days! Remember muscle is way more dense than fat.. so.. you would likely see (possibly) the scale tic up.. that's why focusing on the "weight" is not at the top of the list... IT'S THE SHEDDING OF UNWANTED FAT AND THE ADDITION OF GOOD LEAN MUSCLE that should be your number one focus!!!. Ladies put on as much lean muscle as you possibly can.. safely. I'm not talking about bodybuilding type... unless of course you like that,,, than go for it. If you are 40+... you really should get a good hormone blood panel done/find a good naturopath that is tuned into womens health "hormones"..and is knowledgeable regarging a PROPER HUMAN DIET! Your hormones have to really be in check for your best results. If you're not quit ready to jump in fully with Carnivore, then start with a KETO.. it will work pretty good too, as you get off the sugar, high carbs, processed foods, nasty seed oils. High fat/High Proteing/ultra low carb game plan.. is actually pretty easy. Tons of great videos available to show this. TRACK YOUR MACROS? Yes! How much Protein..Ladies, This is a little dependant on your age, gender and your current weight/how weight (fat) you need to shed.. and your goals... typical starting point should be around 1 gram of quality protein per 1 pound of ideal body weight.... .. Your FAT:Protein ratio... This will change as your progress. I personally take in 1.5 grams of Protein daily. Most often a 45%:45: Fat:Protein and <10% carb intake works well to get started... Remember... plant protein IS NOT THE SAME AS QUALITY MEAT PROTEIN PERIOD! Plants do not contain COMPLETE PROTEINS - PERIOD! Do try tune out all those who promote plant based diet - IT'S UNHEALTHY! Once you get rolling, you will need to experiment on your FAT:Protein ratios. Many suggest a much high Fat intake.. THAT'S GOOD QUALITY FAT.. from meat mostly.. and butter, eggs. A lot of ladies find a 70 to 75% Fat seems to work well for them.. Get a free online MACRO TRACKER .. MyFitnessPal - I've used it for a year plus and it works great! Many great videos from Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Shawn Baker, Carnivore Revolution.. to watch and learn. Well worth your time investment to learn from them! And it's free!

Here's why we stink : a) Dirty bacteria in the environment b) PUFA, Sugars, carbs and processed products. c) Putting chemicals onto our skin. Wash yourself with natural tallow. After I went clean carnivore my body odor disappeared. And I don't get sun burned.

How many times a day I eat varies. Hat would be different for everyone, I think. I feel better when I eat high fat diet. That causes me to feel full fast… in that case I will eat several times a day. When I do eat, it is things like ribeye or 80/20 ground beef with a few eggs, cooked in butter or topped with butter.

Success builds success. A clean carnivore diet makes you look and feel great and so it inspires exercise naturally. When you act like your distant ancestors everything falls into place. In relation to sunshine - The best time to get your sun is in the first and last 3 hours of the day when the wave length is the longest. Paul Mason has a video on Low Carb Downunder about Vit D which you will enjoy.

I'm a former long time coffee drinker, now 25 months clean from caffeine. I still occasionally miss it like an old friend, my family drinks daily, but I don't miss the difficulty falling asleep and the anxiety it gave me. Daily baseline anxiety and peak anxiety during stressful situations both started to go down in the first couple of months but after 2 years it's at an all time low despite a lot of stressful things happening/going on. Good luck on your journey.

Where there are kilograms, they say one gram of protein per kilo, so who's wrong? If I weigh 80 kilograms 80 grams of protein, if I weigh 80kg in pounds? Regards
@FoodDidThis
@FoodDidThis 7 месяцев назад
Yes, I used pounds. I am in the US. It is supposedly one gram of protein for every pound of ideal body weight. That is for every pound of IDEAL body weight: Not necessarily what one currently weighs.

Hi Tracey, how do you measure protein? If I have a ribeye steak for example, do I weigh it on the scales and estimate how much of it is fat, or is there some kind of formula? Thanks, Marie x
@FoodDidThis
@FoodDidThis 7 месяцев назад
From what I can tell….most food calculators are just estimates and can be off by up to 20%. That being said, all sites that I have used to calculate the nutritional value steaks seem to have ribeyes at the same macros (depending on oz/g eaten). It seems to be universal that for every 100g of steak there are approximately 24g of protein. Some days we may eat a little more or less, depending on what our bodies tell us.
@mariecochlan664
@mariecochlan664 7 месяцев назад
Thank you for that. I'm about 5 weeks in and I find that I'm having trouble eating enough. I reckon I should be eating at least 140g . Gosh that's a lot of steak!!!😂 Mx
