Dr Lam would you make a video on hair system patients? I'm 20 I wear a hairpiece and I want to get a Transplant for either the hairline and temple points or just the temple points
@@TheMilkdrinker I have done this before but just be careful because at your age your temples will recede and you may want to exit your hair system and I still would highly caution against it. You are at an unstable age and can’t predict the future.
@@samlammd if the temples keep receding I can just fill them in more. I think maybe I should just use the hairpiece for the top and hairline and use transplants for the temples. What are your thoughts? Love your lectures by the way, I'd love if you made a video on this
@@TheMilkdrinker watch my young men hair transplant video warning to understand this. You have only a finite amount of hair, and hair transplant is not scarless. It is a risk you cannot take and you cannot exit on. I’ll try to do a video but am really busy right now. DONT do a hair transplant
A very insightful video! It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the future of hair restoration surgery, particularly how long you believe it will remain relevant. Do you think surgery will eventually be entirely replaced by medical treatments or even a cure within the next 20-30 years? It's always a pleasure to watch your videos and learn something new. Greetings from Italy!
@@crownzac thank you for the nice comments. To me the only way that hair loss will be fixed permanently without need for surgery is if hair cloning starts to take affect but so far it has been 40 years and we are still not there. The second thing would obviously be some kind of genetic reprogramming like with crisper, but I don’t know anything about that right now. Beyond that I think hair transplant will still dominate.
@@samlammd thank you very much for the answer Dr. Lam. As a young doctor really fascinated by this niche I really appreciate the work you are doing online! If it “the future of hair transplantation” could be an idea for one of your next videos I will gladly watch it 🙏🏼. Greetings from Italy!
@@crownzac thank you. The prince is I don’t love pie in the sky videos with a lot of conjecture but maybe I will have enough data to make it a worthwhile video.
@@mabeltorres6615 it’s effective but unfortunately it takes 3-5 rounds to see the change. Everything else from pores, scars, etc., is super fast and can be seen usually after one round
@@samlammd thank you very much for your quick reply! :) I found a local Dr in my area, (Los Angeles) and I’m going to try it out. She said because my skin is on the tan side, VBeam would need to be at conservative setting so would need several treatments and I should wait for winter when my skin might be a lil less tan… but I live in SoCal, not sure how much lighter I will become lol. She said she does micro Botox for rosacea and it could also help so I’m looking into it as much as possible. Your video was very informative about Botox overall and even if it doesn’t help so much with redness, sounds like my skin will benefit from it greatly. Hope my appointment goes well. Thanks again!

I got fillers around mouth and nose once about 8 years ago, I remember hating the way they looked before and I have not been bothered by the area since. Other things now yes!
Thank you Dr Lam for bringing your help and advice on Female Hair loss......The Hair Stem treatment which you mentioned.....Is this primarily an in office procedure or can this product be bought from you?
My cousin is 73 and had the Sculptra in one session, saw no change. She has a slender face & just wanted volume in her lower face. She is scheduled for a second session. She was told it would stimulate her collagen but then again, how much collagen could she possibly have at her age...to stimulate? She had a fair amount of bruising. I was considering juvederm to accent my cheekbones but I'm afraid now. Thank you for your video.
Hello, I had Sculptura on jaw, high cheeks, temples great results but no improvement on down turn mouth and marionette lines. Should I get more, would it help? No pain or any other issues like noddles so far, it has been 3 months, my cheeks and temples look very young now.
I visited you recently (few months ago) and can’t wait to get scheduled. Been busy planning and executing husband’s military retirement ceremony and party, plus working, but he is now retired as of August 1st and I am ready to focus on this! Looking forward to speaking to you again. For now I have your videos’ 😂
I’m a 26yo male with CCCA and I’ve been treating it with injections and minoxidil. It started when I was 20 and we didn’t know what it was. It seems to have halted progression and I eventually want to get a transplant but I’m unsure if I will loose it all. Ive been doing this since September 2023. How do I know if it’s working and will I have to do treatment for the rest of my life? I know you can’t take doxycycline for that long. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!
hello, i have pores issues on my nose and cheeks,. i want to reduce the size of the pore. mesobotox is safe for large open pores or its harmful. as i m afraid and scared. please help me out is it safe for 35 yrs old?????
@@jenniferfigura1609 watch my video on it. Just search for it in my video catalog. It’s basically dilute Botox used to permanently change quality of skin, texture etc. it’s simply amazing. I’ve perfected the dose to knock out risk of unwanted paralysis and also now added new ingredients to make it SuperTox to manage color and decrease bruising. Sorry, I haven’t shot a video yet on my second generation MesoTox.
Can you have CCCA and male pattern badness? Usually they inject steroids against CCCA. What are you doing If you have both. Does the steroids get converted to DHT?
@@samlammd thank you doctor. I usually take fin 1 mg and oral minoxidil 2.5mg due to my aga. My mother has ccca and I just want to be sure that the treatments doesn't make some bad synergies.
To me worthless. I go by what hair loss you have. I have seen identical twins with different hair loss patterns. This inspires me to do a comprehensive video on this. I’ll do it tomorrow or this week sometime.
i don't do that anymore because i don't like some of the fibrosis of the skin that occurs afterward so i don't plan on shooting a video on the subject.
@samlammd I understand. Thamks for the answer. But you do have some experience with it? Does the effect of the Radiesse (so the generated fibrosis volume) ever really go down again to how it was before? Is it something that i can just wait out...or is it naive to hope it will eventually return to my baseline face? Thanks a lot!
I have been receiving Sculptra in stages over the past year, I have found only one provider in my rural state, the doctor refuses to do it so an RN does the injections unfortunately. I have gotten a rather large nodule under a corner of the mouth area which is obvious. I have finally gotten it someone corrected (at my cost) with filler, even though I was trying to avoid filler and only use the Sculptra. It is still able to be seen. This RN does not mix the Sculptra until within an hour of my arrival, and I have seen on various videos that it is to be mixed 4 days prior to injection. This holds me back from injecting it near eyes (under eye hollows), nasolabial folds, etc. But the lack of knowledge on this is unfortunate. Not interested in botox at all.
@@SirenaSpades sorry that has happened to you. You could try 5Fu to dissolve the collagen or very dilute steroid (risk of atrophy) or even hyper dilute Botox (that does not risk paralysis but can help break down scar tissue). Honestly, for skin Botox really trumps Sculptra but a wide margin and I have found it to be permanent. I’m talking about MesoBotox not concentrated Botox. Watch my video on that. Worst case is a simple excision of the lump if it’s visible.
Had mine done in Turkey. I’m 22, been on dutasteride & oral minoxidil for over 2 years and stabilized my hairloss. Transplant brought my hairline and density on the front back. Looks completely natural with some natural recession and I couldn’t be happier so far. Turkey has many bad clinics/doctors but few of them are actually good. Same goes with every country. Do your research
@@Anonymous51701 in general, a 22-year-old has a very very high risk. I don’t remember ever accepting someone that young. The problem in Turkey is they basically accept everyone. The real risk is even if you are stable on that regimen there is still a long-term very high risk that you will recede behind what you currently have and there will be not enough grafts to fix the future problem leaving to a very serious problem. Absolutely do not stop the medication. we really have a very low prediction on how stable someone can be especially at your age. I hope everything works well for you.
Finasteride is actually used for prostate cancer and it causes impotence. Oral Minoxidil is a blood pressure medication. It could lower your blood pressure to low levels and it could cause heart failure when used for long term. All users should be warned about these side effects. Is there a man who wants to have more hair but become impotent?
@@happysky7964 this kind of treatment is permanent. Each time you do the treatment the scoring should improve. Sometimes you only need one time. Sometimes you need multiple rounds but every time you should see a progressive improvement in the scar tissue and I have never seen it return back to where it is.
@@happysky7964 this is for almost all kinds of scarring from hypertrophic scars to atrophic scars to red scars to any kind of scarring. Even pockmarks. Take a look at my post I just recently posted yesterday on Instagram @LFPDallas.
Dear dr. I was pushed on the spot into doing subcision (cannula, 18G/pretty aggressive) and radiesse (unknowingly..was not propely informed at all). It has robbed me completely of my facial proportions/definiton + has made my lower face (he put in the apple of cheeks...no regard for aestetic outcome) bottom heavy and wise/masculine. Im really desperate and need help. How can I reverse? I cant live with the constant regret that I might never see baseline again. Miss my face!! Will time take care of it eventually? Thanks for an answer (and be truthful!) 🙏🙏
Hate it 1 vital it’s been 2 years and my face is hug . He put it in my lower face and it made my face sag . I can see the outline of where it was placed because you can see thicker skin . I have this weird outline going up my nose . I have no more high cheeks . My mouth looks slanted . Whole face is numb . After 2 years my upper eyelids are numb . He really fed up my face .
Generally you put it on the outer areas to pull back the face like a facelift, not to pull down the face. It will create a pulling effect. Why haven't you gone back to fix it, or go to another place with more experience to fix it?
My deep respect to you Doc for your honesty and straightforward explanations. I have been looking for a dr like you in Paris but havent found one. If you have a colleague or someone that you follow who does treatments here, i would really appreciate it if you could share with me ❤
