Son Del Monte is a New York City based band performing unique tunes from various artists. Son Del Monte was born from musical director and timbalero, Manny Rivera. His aspiration was to create a Charanga band with a hard driving New York sound paying homage to the bands of the 60's, 70's and the 80's. Our music is captivating to the listeners and the dancers. Fans all over have grown to love Son Del Monte, Una Charanga Con Algo Mas, and our amazing musical swing we create. From our awesome stage presence to our memorable song lyrics, the band members have always found a way to leave their mark at every venue they perform at. Son Del Monte is a feature artist with Marty Cohen's RU-vid Congahead Video Productions. Son Del Monte is an 11or 12 piece band featuring a combination of trombones, flute and violins. Son Del Monte won the TANAE Award for Band of the Year 2018.
