use POR15 for a metal coating. id use a brush. 494 with rimgaurd and loader is about 6500 lbs. the 474 is a touch light in the ass. its the biggest HST TYM offers. a fine choice my friend.

A2300 kukje. you got the most simple modern tractor engine on the planet! fantastic choice for firewood. i have a 2022 494 ROPS HST. love it 100 hours and still no regen. i hear some people get a few 100 hours b4 first regen. if you are into a log grapple check out the Fransgard SK-950 it looks similar to frostbite but a 150 lbs more better welding,fit and finish and it is made of HARDOX. the Frostbite is 18-2000$ the fransgard 23-2400$$ well worth it. you will smile everytime you look at it. I was hoping to be able to do that because TYM said all the remote kits came as detent and you convert them. Mine didn't come as detent. It usually involves removing 4 ball bearings that ride in a grove. There are a few great videos already on RU-vid that show you but not specific to TYM. I'm going away for a few weeks but when I get back to the shop, let me see if I can find a valve and do it!
How easy is it to unload? Does it dump? Do the sides fold down while being loaded, allowing logs to roll out? Or do you have to pick load up and out to remove (back breaker)?
Hello there. Unfortunately it doesn't dump and the sides don't fold down, just the rear gate. You can remove the sides by removing the rear gate and the front section and then take any side off and put the front section back on.
Hello. Thanks for asking this great question. I limb in place or winch to a place where I can do it safely. If the limbs are useable, I may leave them on and winch the log trailside. If I limb trailside, I will cut to length and throw the peices in the ATV trailer. I never cut logs into rounds in the woods. That all gets done in the staging area. I try to move and touch the wood as little as possible to save time. I will be showcasing my Bannon trailer soon and you can see what we do trailside.
