Pretty sketchy that stick or no stick is a judgment call and can change based on the challenge. There should probably be precise rules that apply regardless of the challenge. You could even differentiate by have some challenges that require a stick and some that just require a unified landing with no steps out. That said, I think SPL is making big strides towards a fair and exciting competition format that upholds the spirit of the sport.
Coach Tom and Origin Parkour are pretty adamant on 'no more than half your foot' for a stick if you watch their training videos and gym requirements videos. Rachel's 1st challenge stick was pretty much right on half, so that was the only time it was a question of what Tom could see. Noa was well over half. I think the commentators took a bit of creative license with their 'rules'
@@SegueGreene it still seems like a long time to wait and post it. I can understand they make money off of the live event. But waiting at a minimum of 7 months is a really long time.
@@chris-727 I think the idea is using it to build hype for SPL3 which will be happening soon, they're releasing the stuff progressively now before it. Could be wrong though.
Athlete’s were phenomenal, judging was not. There need to be multiple scoring categories, like in gymnastics. Maybe difficulty, execution and obstacle interaction. Sum these for the final score.
With this kind of judging, rating system... 8's are actually 9's. Like wtf would a 9.6 be with the current judging, hypothetically? A triple flyaway-pre-to front? A double gainer pre that is stuck? I'm at 31minutes right now but for real if no one scores a 9....check yourself.
Caleb had the only 9, and it's well deserved in his case. Elis could have a 9 before him at 31:28 but I understand that his landing wasn't that clean, hence it cost him that 9.

Why in the f**k is there no video for these events? I GUARANTEE your sub count is this drastically horrid due to lack of content. You have a week to post footage. If not, at least 1100 of these subs disappear...
