Using this light for last 3 months now for a 1.5ft tank. This light is bright and good for low tech plants. I've been able to grow rotala macrandra mini type 4 and bucephalandra brownie Neo with ease in a no CO2 no fert set-up
Mine is turning black and melting away quickly after just getting it for 2 or so weeks. I understand plants melting after being in different water parameters, but this one is just simply dying. My rotalas are doing great to where I need to trim them every couple weeks. Got them the same time. The star grass is melting from the bottom. I just planted it about 1-2” in the substrate, enough for my corys not to uproot them. Fresh root tabs in as well.. can you advise on what I might be doing wrong or what I can do?
@@aquacolours thank you for your response! My light is on for about 6hrs a day.. would that be insufficient? I started with 10 but worked my way down to deal with algae
@@abdurrehman9123 hmm, maybe the light isn’t reaching the bottom enough which is why it’s turning black from the bottom up. The tips always look good but I only have it on for 6-8hrs otherwise algae grows
