This is the greatest American song of our time! We should sing and play it at all our Fourth of July celebrations and imagine a big ol' beer wagon rolling round your corner pulled by horses big as houses. This is so HAPPY to be here in America Now-type a song, ya know what I mean? It's singular merit that makes it so special. (It's German-American too and that's OK) We've all been together, come what may, through so much, still together. This song's place in our hearts was earned the honest way - all the way, and so well-deserved to be cherished as anything known to be included as such in our American cultural heritage; that much love and joy. Play it again.
In the 1990s, I and my family were fortunate to see the Budweiser Clydesdales at the St. Paul (OR) rodeo. Right before the bullriding, they entered the arena and performed the moves used when goods of all kinds were delivered by horse drawn wagon. Also, they were in the Kiwanis Kiddie Capers parade in Canby OR on the opening day of the Clackamas County Fair.
I was 17 in 2006. I remember this commercial from when I was a teenager. It's quite catchy, don't think for a minute that they aren't trying to get kids to start drinking.
I remember these Budweiser Anthem commercials from 2005-2006. I was 12-13 at the time. I'll be 30 next month, and never got into drinking, but you got me thinking about how many kids went down that unfortunate path. November 16, 2022 3:58 am
🎵Here comes the King, here comes the big Number One! Budweiser beer, the king is second to none. Just say Budweiser, You've said it all. Here comes the King of Beers so lift your glass let's hear the call. Budweiser beer's the one that's leading the rest, And beechwood aging makes it beer at its best. One taste 'll tell you, So loud and clear. There's only one Budweiser beer (there's only one Budweiser beer) When you say Bud there's nothing left you can say (when you say Bud). When you say Bud, the King is right on his way (when you say Bud). The King is coming, Let's hear the call, When you say Bud you've said it all Ya da da da da da da da da da da🎵
The singer is Valerie Simpson of Ashford & Simpson fame. She was also the singer on the famous "sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't" jingle for Mounds and Almond Joy.
