Name of the lakes? I'm on the western side of Lake Tahoe, so we have Jenkinson's, Echo, Wrights, Fallen Leaf lakes etc. Fishing Jenkinson's (Sly park) lake on a kayak today! Liked and subbed! Look forward to more videos!
Awesome video! Especially impressive hiking that thing in there, those always seem to weigh a ton!! Sorry if you've answered this before, but what is that 5 ft rod you were using with the lures? I'm on the hunt for a shorter rod to compliment my 6'6 4 piece travel rod.
Nice video! Sorry you didn't hook into that big brownie. Next time! Can you make a video showing the tackle you bring on trips of various lengths? I tend to being too much!😅 Tight lines, dude!
Next time do a dodger in front of a night crawler it flashes fish, gives the bait lots of action and gets it down there also. I was also going to say to try ghee when frying fish in titanium cookware. Ghee has way more flavor than oil and has more non stick to it. It also doesn’t burn like butter!
I have that exact kayak in my cart on Amazon right now. I'm thinking my daughter and I can go fishing in it and it would be a blast. Thank you for unknowingly "reviewing" it for us. I'm gonna pull the trigger on it before my next fishing trip.
It’s a solid inflatable kayak! Not meant for choppy or large bodies of waters. It’s essentially a large inflatable toy. But it’ll get you out there and you’ll have a blast.
Good stuff Micah. You must have been there on a Wednesday. That's a drive up lake; that parking lot behind you (normally) is packed. The lake looks empty.
30 years ago we would tie huge heavily weighted red or burgundy colored woolly buggers (de-barbed) cast them upstream and let them bounce along the bottom. Surprising how the trout love them things especially the browns. Tx for the vid good memories.
Hey guys I recently found your channel and also the world of backpacking. As a beginner what first backpacking trails would you recommend in California. I live in LA but it’s so overwhelming try Ing to find a good beginner trail that will be scenic but also ha e some where to catch and cook! If you have any recommendations they would be Greatly appreciated! Thanks
I love that you’re just getting into backpacking! I would recommend a 2-4 mile hike to get you started. Give yourself at least 24hrs at a high elevation before beginning your backpacking trip. Your body needs to acclimate to the oxygen level difference before you climb even higher. Look into the Bishop pass trailhead or Sabrina lake trailhead. Tons of lakes with plenty of fishing. You can get your permits on Recreation.gov under the “Inyo National Forest” wilderness permits page. It’s not as complicated as you think! Once you have the gear, it’s all about just getting out there, and going on an adventure! 😄
My bow is tuned arrows are bare shaft tuned. I shoot Tooth of the Arrow broad heads and they hit with my field tips. His bow is not tuned and arrows are probably not tuned.
My bow is not papertuned, you're correct. I was simply going off what they said on their website at the time. A true tune up on my bow is coming up soon!
ML Knives (link below)! Tell him Until Journey's End sent you. You can have him make it custom to order. It's an excellent field knife. And fun fact...he made the knives for the movie The Revenant! ml-knives.com/
I am shocked that Isrealis don't fish much.. offshore they have major badass fish 9miles out.. I am going in November for 10 days. But I can't believe Jews don't have the fishing disease.. I do..
I actually saw quite a few shore fishermen when I was there. And infact, many of the native Tilapia had been fished to extinction, which led them to impose fishing restrictions for the first time not too long ago.
