Hi @Amafortas, as of now Microsoft says the "Reference a file" button is only available for customers with a Business subscription. Fingers crossed that this will be opened up to Personal accounts soon!
Hello, thank you for this video! My question is: what about the used photos? Can we somehow find out their origin when AI finds/create them for us? I would use it at school but I´m not sure about how to do it legally. Thanx a lot!
not sure if you will see this or not but... why include all three fields in the 2nd part of the sheet and only return one column of data? I thought by including first and last name in the table array (and for some reason you have workshop ID) that it would return both first and last name in the first half of the sheet. how would I bring over last name?
I saw this tip in another video. After you "append as new" in Power Query, go to Advance Editor and enter: let Source = Table.Combine({Table.AddColumn(Java, "Source query", each "Jazzy Java") , Table.AddColumn(#"Rio", "Source query", each "Rio Roast") , Table.AddColumn(#"Cozy", "Source query", each "Cozy Coffee")}) in Source This will add a third column with the Supplier Name. Then close and load table, formula =SORT(All_Products,1).
I know this was three years ago, but... this REALLY helped. I have watched (too) many vids on VLookups with much, much frustration. I was recently told about XLookups and wanted to know the difference between them... this was super helpful and was presented in a manner I could actually understand. I am not an Excel fan, but I have to use it. My brain is not wired to grasp this stuff easily. I will definitely go back to this vid and check out the others. Thank you!
Sure! We'll bear that in mind for upcoming challenges. Have you tried these: - www.goskills.com/Excel/Resources/Excel-challenge-2 - www.goskills.com/Excel/Resources/Excel-challenge-3 - www.goskills.com/Excel/Resources/Excel-challenge-4 - www.goskills.com/Excel/Resources/Excel-challenge-14 - www.goskills.com/Excel/Resources/Excel-challenge-31 - www.goskills.com/Excel/Resources/Excel-challenge-38
The checks should look for the correct answer and not the exact same formula. If the data is converted to a table and the formula uses field headers instead of ranges the correct formula shows as false.
Hi @Michael_Alaska, thanks for working through this challenge! We protected the worksheet to minimize changes to the structure of the data. We didn't count on you unprotecting it! You get an extra star! 🌟😊
Thank you for taking the time to explain this so well. I viewed a number of other channels and I just didn't understand A. why I would use the indirect function and B. How to correctly write it. Your explanation is hands down the best. The key being, you provided an excellent simple example, your pace is good. This is by far the clearest explanation.
Thanks for this, Deborah. I think using INDEX MATCH with the -1 'match type' operator to look up the status of the stock from the table provided is marginally simpler than using the IFS function (only requires you to reference two arrays, rather than 6 individual cells). Otherwise I used the same approach -- FILTER is such a powerful formula, thanks for highlighting that so clearly in this exercise!
Hello, I am using Current Version (Preview) of Microsoft Insiders and for at least the last year my version of 365 removes duplicates from lists in Data Validation. But, some folks that have the same version do not. Do you know why this may be the case? And what version do you use for your problems and solutions here?
amazing way to solve exercise 1. i use nested if to solved that. i dont even know that can be solved with vlookup with true range lookup. new insight again. and what if analysis is really powerful feature, to calculate exact amount. thanks
Hi @omerkaygisiz7293, actually one of our community members shared their method of doing that. It involves a combination of INDEX, SMALL, and ROW functions, with IFERROR to suppress errors. It looks something like this: =IFERROR(INDEX(H4:K204,SMALL(IF(L4:L204=B5,ROW(L4:L204)-ROW(L4)+1),ROW(L4:L204)-ROW(L4)+1),{1,2,3,4}),"") The link for our Slack group is: join.slack.com/t/goskills-excel/shared_invite/zt-1dugm5d5v-CJohL9qmuoCiHU5x3pkwnQ.
