Interesting. The craziest thing is that you definitely have Afghani and Pakistani features. I’ve been to both and definitely see it. Thanks for sharing 👌👍
Awesome results. My parents are from Santiago. Here are my results: Europe - 61% 28% Portugal, 25% Spain, 4% Basque, 3% Italy, 1% Wales Sub-Saharan Africa - 29% 10% Cameroon, 8% Senegal, 6% Benin & Togo, 4% Nigeria, 1% Mali Indigenous America - 6% 4% DR, 1% Eastern South America, 1% Yucatan Peninsula North Africa - 4% 3% North Africa, 1% Egypt
I’m Dominican Spanish (from my grandparents form mother and father) and I think I’m 95% European because I’m very white but with blonde and brown hair with light brown eyes.
That’s crazy, my grandfathers last name is also Pimentel and grew up in Baní way back in the day, but moved to San Pedro de Macoris when he was young. Maybe we’re related lol.
So 61% spanish since the 4% north african and western asian is also from your Spanish ancestors. 29% sub saharan African and 10% native american (adding central asian to that). Interesting to remember whenever you hear "we were colonized by the Spaniards". We weren't. We are the Spaniards.
Hey I remember the video I started following you from lol, saw your not on IG anymore is everything good? Just checking up add me on Facebook Joey Puntiel
@Sheron Edge why would she look "Italian or Greek" if she is Dominican? If anything she would look Spanish. Regardless she certainly would not pass for an ethnic french nor does she have Italian features at all. She is purely or overwhelmingly of Spanish and African ancestry. These DNA tests are not particularly accurate.
The Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 did have British influence and recent and American solider occupation for 20 plus years with a population of mostly women in those times for her results to show this. She is 100% Dominican with the correct results @hailandplaice
Not just the Dominican Republic but her region in particular. The province of la vega has a great deal of people of Western Europeans and even Hungarians.
the dominican rep is majority mixed african taino native race only 16% euro ancestors due to the colonization time period. what a lot people confuse for such high European features are majority spaniard and or italian. I am first generation dominican american afro indigenous latino. my mother and my grand mother both currently live in the capital of dominican rep. my mothers, mothers, mother has enslaved african ancestors with traces from the congo. we are BLACK NATIVE LATINOS. we represent more then one group of people before my country was colonized it was of native people and after it was colonized it was of african. the very very small percentage of "british influence on dominican rep" the british tried kidnapped, raped, enslaved forced tried to kill off our culture and language 🤣😂😭 INFLUENCE ?!? we have spent decades trying to erase any European culture on our island stop acting liked your invited or welcomed or wanted on the island no BRITISH "INFLUENCE" is on our island i can tell you that! we are a independent country we are not influenced by anything outside of the caribbean world 💀 the audacity you almost made it seem like the british did us a kind favor like we asked for some sort of support you work real hard to stay humble grounded and aware of our history trust me we will never allow any outside influences it's a great tourist spot and don't ever that confused for anything else people historically have come to dominican rep for its culture we do not care for anyone else culture or influence we are very full here 😒😒 british influence no call it what it is british colonization maldita pruta teyna make it seem like there was an agreement or a cival agreement like every where else the british tried to enslave my people you Britain influenced nothing let me help some people ease that curiosity 💀🤣😂🤦🏽♀️ white people are so ignorant it's mind shocking wow! the way the history books are painted for some of you is just sad you must think britain was going aroudn doinf ghe world a favor 💀 please stop this i'm so glad that you guys think the european world is always at the center of everyone world 😩 anyway no british influence here on the island i can confirm that 😭
@@lobopoderososdl3076 I know he did. I'm saying latin americans are a bunch of different very diverse people who can be anything. A majority have varying levels of Spanish and Native American ancestry but you can be Latin american and be full blooded Polish or Japanese.
The large percentage of British surprises me as the Dominican Republic was never a British colony. I wonder if you have ancestry from one of the other islands that were i.e. Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, St. Kitts etc. European Jewish would likely go along with the Iberian as many converted to Christianity in the inquisition (known as New Christians, or, perjuratively, as Marranos or Conversos), some returned to Judaism in the New World, but not all.
My father was Dominican and Puerto Rican. On his Dominican side we have a British last name and yes they came from St Kitts and St barths. They had come from England to the carribean and owned plantations and slaves. One was a governor and a knight.
