I highly recommend joining reddit subs named financial independence or another one called personal finance. They give a lot of information and a roadmap that led me to where I'm at now.
It's like money that you put aside for a future expense, for me, it's for vacations, gifts, savings. I add to it little by little until it grows to an amount that I want.

@DebtEscapeDiaries for your savings challenge, you have that scratch thing and the one that you color in. Also, how do you decide how much to allocate? Just based on your general needs? I would be really new to this, but it seems like it would be really helpful.
